Thursday - Light workout, squat and curls
27.04.2023
Nice day. Rekt after yesterday. Fell asleep without a proper supper, slept for quite a while and managed to wake up early, has a nice but medium sized breakfast, ended up falling very deeply asleep, woke up late, had coffee, had a lesson cancelled, helped my brother with his school solfege (music theory), practiced guitar for a while, I'm actually feeling as if I'm moving towards "advanced" fretboard level of familiarity, if that makes sense, coming up with so many curious funny exercises, having my second moka arabica.
I've been thinking, and hopefully it is a nice idea - OHP days will be Monday, Saturday and Thursday, and alongside them squat days will be Thursday, Monday and Saturday.
Mon (OHP) / Wed (DL) / Thurs (Sq) / Sat (OHP) / Mon (Sq) / Wed (DL) / Thurs (OHP) / Sat (Sq)
So that's a two week spread - not a microcycle! And, of course, we'd be doing not just squat on squat days. And today I kinda feel like having a light workout again, although that might not be optimal. Might not. Might go downstairs and do something better than that. Even though I got a loose knee. Give it time? I don't know.
You know, though, when I'm here, in my chambers, doing light physical culture work, that feels and, well, is different from what I do in the garage. Small things, better bloodflow. Hmm.

Of course, enjoying AI stuff unironically is either naive or cringe. Well, it's both, of course. But GPT4 wrote me a really nice appeasing poem after I presented it with my Monday post and gave it a very silly prompt.
Poem
In the Shadow of Mighty Olympus
In the era of heroes, when gods ruled the earth,
A mortal strove mightily, seeking his worth.
In the shadow of Olympus, where legends were born,
He lifted the iron and drummed till the morn.
His mind was a fortress, his heart full of fire,
And in the words of the learned, he found his desire.
He spoke with the wit of a great English gent,
Yet his prose held a charm, like the Russian he'd lent.
In the gym's hallowed halls, he pushed against fate,
His discipline wavering, but never would break.
For within him, a battle of giants did rage,
As pleasure and duty waged war on his stage.
But fear not, dear reader, for this tale of strife,
Is but one small chapter in a much grander life.
For each day, he fought on, with the strength of the gods,
And in the end, he'd prevail, defying the odds.
So let us remember this hero of yore,
Whose journey through life we so eagerly explore.
May his tale inspire us, as we too embark,
On our own epic quests, through the light and the dark.
Hmm. Just hmm 😎 I sure am a self-pleaser, aren't I? Oh well.
I gave my little brother my old laptop to watch watch some silly minecraft skits on that he's been watching.
Or you could say "I bequeathed to my younger sibling my former laptop for the purpose of viewing certain frivolous Minecraft sketches, which had previously captured his interest."
What am I going to be lifting today?
The pleasure I feel from reading this poem is so undeserved. It's hilarious. It's as if I imagined being praised by someone! Hehehe. I don't do that very often, that's why it's so shocking. Dark is my mind. These days, at least. Darkness isn't bad, you know. God lives in the darkness of mystery. And I don't feel my religous fear that used to feel so much back in the day when I say. Because if God is God then he is wise and he wants us to be wise and not be afraid to think. Important for the faithful to remember!
WorkouT
Squat
2 sets of 15 - bodyweight
16 kg kettle - 1 set of 15, goblet squat, jumping up a little
16 kg kettle - 1 set of 15 - full on thrusters (squat and pp/ohp. In my case, throwing and catching it on some reps)
It's all nice, but it's way too late.
Curls
6+6 kg dbs - 2 sets of 20
12+12 - 2 sets of 20
27 kg ez bar - 8 reps right arm, 7 reps left
I used to be way stronger with my arms around 2017. Just a bit out of shape nowadays, I prefer to say.
I was feeling lazy and tired earlier, but now I'm not. I have a whole night ahead of me and I'm gonna do some learning so I don't lag behind as much.

Done some. Feels good.
