June 11th - Deadlift 263 for 6 sets of 3

 11.06.2026

I woke up feeling very good. Somehow it wasn't excessively hot and I was able to go back to sleep when I woke up at my usual 4 AM. I woke up at 10.

Now it's 7 PM. I should probably eat if I wanna work out. I didn't plan to work out today, funny, but I think I can.

What's really good though is that I'm writing.

You know though, I really do wonder right now - since it's so hot, since I took so long - maybe I should postpone it again, to tomorrow. I do feel good energy in me, but some things are not perfect. It's below average, some things. The climate is hot and even though it's late in the day I'm sweating... I don't know. I've had a moderate-sized meal for breakfast, then I had two very long coffees. I'm not super hyped. Hmm.

There's been quite a few cases where I did either - I decided to work out and had success and the opposite too. There are also cases where I postponed it and had success.

I don't *feel* lazy, but I am worried. The heat isn't helpful.

I did write. I am inching closer and closer... It feels like it's been a frigging month of me stuck here, crazy. It happens!

I oughta not be a bitch. I think I *almost* finished ch7rw4. I feel perfectly good and I know my back and legs are in a good shape, and so are my tissues and joints. There is absolutely no need to postpone my workout.

Small thought - I think sometimes authors give their characters flaws thinking they're doing something UNPREDICTABLE or NEW because they think their initial desire is to write a good one but it's a MAry Sue but in reality they're still doing cliche shit. I'm a little confused, it's hard to formulate it... I'm also very thirsty.

Workout

Deadlift

20 - 70

123 for 5

163 for 3 DOHG

183 for 3 DOHG

193 for 3 DOHG

203 for 3 DOHG - good news! All three reps were almost good. The third one was good enough for me to walk back and rack it. HOWEVER, if I were more prudent, I'd have avoided these reps - for the fear of learning the FAILING movement pattern! I'd like to imagine I've done nice enough learning on the previous dohg sets.

233 for 3 - a super slow and lazy set, HOWEVER all reps were easy and fast. I am sweating a lot, and it is very humid.

263 for 3 - very nice; I figured out a way to wrap the straps very tight - you have to not align the ends, very simple I used to do but did not really comprehend. Maybe that'll solve my skin issues lol! But yeah, the set was rather long, kinda like three singles - and I feel like it's okay, given the weather AND the fact that each rep was good and fast!

263 for 3 - not bad, tried to do at least two reps sequentially but got a hip extender cramp

263 for 3 - very good, managed to do two reps one after another without standing up! 😀 It helps that it's now cooler and I'm not as sweaty. Twenty four hours ago I was falling asleep at that time... I hope I don't just reset to nighttime after one day!

Also, important DEADLIFT CUE - when setting up, DON'T bend down your head to look down or even between your legs - but when STARTING THE PULL, then you CAN do it, put your head down there and then swing it out throughout the rep! Perhaps I'll even film it, we'll see...

Cooked myself a piece of butter toast and put something that looks like fake honey on it. Didn't eat it yet though, I think I'll give it a shot after the 5th set...

263 for 3 - not bad

263 for 3 - okay. This was a slow set, but every rep was good and fast. I'd like to eventually re-learn how to do reps quickly lol. Some cardio and some such.

Bench tomorrow - as well as some overhead accessories. Easy light doubles in Bench, that's the idea - then switch to OHP!

Also I'd like to do any kind of DL variation for reps... Maybe on some other day, on OHP day as warmup lol... Could make sense!

RPotD - interesting little landscape in Mexico
