March 31st and April 1st - Light workout and a nice Bench workout
31.03.2026
OHP
20 for 20 somewhat randomly
Rubber lat pulls
2 sets of 30 super light
Pullup-squats with rings (a.k.a "floor supported pullups") - although today I definitely used my legs rather little, on the account of my stiff and swollen right knee
3 sets of 20
On the third set I tried stretching and relaxing so much I could sit on the floor; that increased the time under tension quite significantly so around ten reps I had to go and try to start helping my lats with my legs after all. Otherwise it's a perfect light lat & arm exercise for any kind of rest day.

You know what I'm realizing? When you're starting a story you kinda wanna drop the pretentious vocabulary and purpleness, you wanna be clear and set a good stage. Way too many people wanna splash you with glitter in the first few paragraphs. I definitely have that habit too, and I noticed recently while critiquing someone how the writer's "intended tone" relaxes by the end of the "chunk" (one writing session). Just an observed tidbit. No, you wanna let the reader find the ground to walk on, a treadmill in the dark. That's a metaphor cause I didn't use "like" ☝🤓
Well, today is sort of still yesterday for me. I had a pain pill, the more heavy one. Can't remember. Not analgin - there's only one pill left, but the other one that supposedly irritates your stomach (not aspirin or any other nsaid).
Well, I had some rather mild reflux so I went ahead and had a small teaspoon of baking soda despite my very clear memories telling me it's a bad idea. It actually turned out fine. But later in the day I had worse reflux so I had another one and I think my that time my stomach must have been much emptier, so all that baking soda went into my guts and gave me plenty of intestine pain and I farted rather than burped. And worst of all - my beloved Earl Grey tea changed taste into some kind of rusty drainwater, just because I had some baking soda and now I had alcaline innards. I had some fruit and some of it went away. A while later I made a decent, sizable meal and the tea did not taste bad anymore.
Bought some stuff. Bought citrulline malate. Supposedly it's good. I'm extremely sceptical about most supplements, but I'm currently at a point in life where I need them. Should help with the recurring "hypotension episodes" I've been having. Also bought tea and coffee, as per usual. And protein powder. I have a strange (ngl it's lowkey superstitious) pull in my mind telling me to buy it. So I did buy it. Same as that citrulline malate. Should be as good as pickles on an empty stomach lol. And also I bought - well, ordered - knee sleeves. I think I never had knee sleeves, only elbow sleeves that I passed on to some lucky crossfitter. I had them in my "Good training moments 2015" video, a good video that was. I am much stronger than I was back then, but less elastic, less resilient, body-wise. My mind though, that's definitely way more resilient, heh heh. Thank God for the improvements I've been having. Thank God for everything, Truly and Forever!

Evening. Woke up with absolutely no pain in leg. Of course, when I got up to walk around it re-emerged as my tissues had to adapt. I got Bench today. But before that I have my writing that I **will** do.
"Blue Skies" from end end titles of Glengarry Glen Ross. Cover by Al Jarreau. That's when it clicked in my head. I was gonna start having blue skies from now on. And it's been going on this way through most of 2024, all of 2025 and the start of 2026 so far, heck, make it the first quarter of 2026 lol.
Workout
Warmup - the usual wall pushups, pushup planks
Bench press
20 for 20
50 - 70 - 80 - 90 - 100 - that's a lot! Using the new doctrine of at least 6 warmup sets before working sets.
110 and 120 for 6 - sets of 6 is the rough range today
120 for 6
130 for 6
140 for 6
145 for 6
147,5 for 6 - I love how easy it feels. No bouncing, pausing the weight right above chest! Also writing 😏 Listened to Hand Of Doom here 😀
150,5 for 6 - feels good, pretty easy 😀
From here on, the idea was to do quick couples of sets
148 and 143 for 3
143 and 140 for 3
Here it sped up way too much cause it got too easy lol. Well, I compensated by making sure all reps are real fast and explosive!
130 and 120 for 3
100 and 70 for 3
That's it. Forgot to do the typical 20 for 20 OHP lol. Let me do an alternative.
OHP - 6+6 kg dbs for 30

Somewhat amusing style I'd say lol!
