March 8th, Sunday - Difficult DL, 4 sets of 6

 08.03.2026

Interesting fact about today - I flipped the bar, so the sleeve is now sliding off of the left side.

Workout

Some rare warmup - calf raises, squat-to-kneel ankle drill (might not have been the best idea)

Deadlift

20 - 70 - 120 - 160

203 for about 7 off-the-floors, out of them 2 were good with the flipped side, and one really good one when I stepped over it to even out the sides - so basically just 3 OHG reps, but two were extra difficult in figuring out where and how to grip this flipped bar

243 for 6 - very nice set, somewhat easy. If it wasn't for the bare can of beans I consumed yesterday it would have been an even better set. But by rep 4 I farted so densely and hotly I thought I definitely shitteded myself. Thankfully it was, in fact, just a fart. Realities of deadlifting!

253 for 6 super lame, kinda feeling like shit, otherwise easy. Kinda just low energy, blood too thick. Should have had more food later.

253 for 6 better set. This one was better. I'm close to warmup. Insides aren't quite tumultuous. The player really annoys me cause it keeps cutting out one ear.

I really want to do 6 reps without making a break.

253 for 6 pretty bad. Otherwise glad I pulled through a 4 sets of 6 kind of workout.

My recovery was lacking, and my metabolism too. Yesterday I slept too long and then I woke up at midnight today and stayed up for a while. Low appetite, nutrition also uneven. There is an issue with sleeping during the day, and it's that you sleep worse. But I have been feeling better. It's just that I did not maintain it too well and my body hadn't gotten used to the renewal of a "five day week" yet. You can't do the "five day week" permanently, but it is great when you can do that.

Some time later

L-flys - 2 sets with 2 kg dbs
