January 22nd - Light Squat, figuring out how to use regex in google docs

 22.01.2025

Technically 23rd - writing just a little after midnight. I don't wanna jinx it, but I think I got over my "January" syndrome this week. It's all good. Really enjoying today, brain nice and clear. Wonder what it's gonna be like tomorrow. Enjoying coffee, reading, some writing - managed to summon a rare kind of creativity I haven't had in a while, or at least it feels like a while.

Also, the biggest finding of the day (up angle and caret) - ^$

In google docs - that is the thing you use with regex to replace double lines. You replace this thing with nothing - it simply does what you wanted, it replaces double line breaks with a single one. The "/n/n/" into "/n" never worked. My googling has not worked in the past until today, until I tried googling info not for google docs but indeed for the openoffice writer. Lo, I found it - it works. I was mind blown cause it just didn't make sense, not at all - I knew I had to be wrong, I knew there was indeed a solution for my writing, for when I was gonna go ahead and edit it all to fit the paper.

Workout - a small one

Squat and squat stretches - BW, 3 sets

Goblet squat, 16 kg kettlebell - 2 sets of 10, also some passing from arm to arm standing as well as during squats - just to keep it simple and enjoy it without any strain whatsoever - all the while contributing to my energy reserves and ankle recovery.

I'm seriously wary of stretching my ankles. I believe that stretching - outside of it stretching under load - might have really contributed to my worsening of this injury in November. That was over two months ago, smh...

3rd set - 5 reps, gone a little too fast and tweaked the tissue under the kneecap - nothing particularly unusual. I didn't strain it, it just pinged a signal of pain and I decided to pause. It's possible it might have originated in me doing the "knees forward" stretch. Man, all the stretching I do, I'm so good at it and it often has these strange outcomes. I think I have enough nerve ability to casually strain myself when I stretch. That's why pain exists when you hurt yourself - so you stop hurting yourself. I've been learnign to overcome this natural instinct and it's paying out 😂 However, I again have to note it was just half a second of pain, I didn't injure or strain myself. Or so I keep saying! 😁 You gotta take it chill.

Sets 4 and 5 - 10 reps - conventional thigh spread, controlling the speed and angles and foot/ankle position (side of foot - important!)

Decided 5 was enough. But I'll do just a little more -

BW Squats - 3 sets of 10 - feels nice
