January 18th - Light squat workout
18.01.2025
Micro workout, starting late at night.
All the FRONT RACK STRETCHING I've been doing should only have ever been done alongside actual OVERHEAD PRESSING! I've been stretching it too much and in the wrong angles, so I micro-injured myself. However, rn it's pretty good - but I still have some pain on the tissues right over my elbows.
Gone really tight and really musclebound from yesterday's Bench. Reeeally did not want to do any kind of pressing today. That was the presumed plan, cause I usually have OHP on the third day of my five day week. But the fact that I had to bench yesterday rather than before yesterday changes things, as well as the tissue fatigue.
So, I thought of doing some babrell squat today but that eventually started feeling like too much as well. So I settled on just some upstairs squats.
Squat
2 sets of 20 - focusing on my foot, on putting the weight on the outside as well as the balls of my big toes
Goblet squat
16 kg for 20 - surprisingly easy, pleasant
32 kg for 20 also pretty easy, although my right radialist is cramping. I might have allowed myself too much coffee today.
48 kg for 10 - actual goblet squat! I've done that before, back in the day, a couple kettlebells tied together. Today it was hard, harder than a front squat with these two. Also the range was cut a little cause I was doing it off the bed and the bottom kettlebell (16) was bumping against the mattress. Cramped my radialis on both arms pretty severy and had to drop it. There is definitely a lot of very interesting novelty here, a lot of ab flexing cause I have to brace weird, a lot of fun, in other words. If only I wasn't cramping 😁
48 kg for 10 - hard set, genuinely wanted to drop it after 6, arms cramped hard, felt like vomiting afterwards - might reveal what kind of state I'm in 😁 I was afraid of bumping and breaking kettlebells, just upper body and abs loaded, legs don't feel much. Definitely too much coffee! And what's worse I had some soup just about an hour ago 😁 It's all pretty wack, funny how I got myself here.
16 kg kettlebell for 20 - an interesting variation, leaning from one side to another, putting my elbow on alternating knees in the bottom position. I am dreadfully dehydrated, I need to do something about it.
For a little while I felt really sick, probably cause I took off my clothing and got shockingly cold and it's actually colder than average outside rn. I can't allow myself to get sick from a stupid thing like this. Not falling ill is a skill. Gotta never overexert yourself in poor climactic conditions - I have an established tendency to do so. I know I learned though, it's deep in my mind.
Took some activated charcoal. I think that helped soothe my reflux. Now I'm feeling way better.
16 kg for 10 more, again switching sides - feeling better
