December 11th, Thursday - Easy Bench, PR, bringing back Squat bit by bit
11.12.2025
Nice day. Ate okay, slept too.
Workout
Warmup - some, writing, listening to Manowar on big speakers, remembering
Bench
20 - 70 - 70 - 100
120 for 4
140 for 4 nice, a little stiff, pecs feel not super flexible
140 for 4 same, a tiny bit better, doing wide grip, middle finger on outer markings
140 for 4 much better, warmed up here
140 for 4 lovely, listening to Outlaw - the fast song of the album, bounced one rep real hard against my chest, it was kinda funny 😁
140 for 4 nice, easy
140 for 10 - PR, listening to The Power 😁 Hallelujah!
Put away all the wights downstairs. Growing sweaty! Cotton is cold, cold and wet. Sometimes it stays wet for days, can't ever dry up, how strange! I'll see if I get too cold by taking it off.
The fact that we don't wear more synthetic undergarments fascinates me. Majority of the world's population lives in warm climate. Cotton. What about it? Hmm. Thinking, trying to.
Anyway, where was I... I wanna do more stuff today. But just what? Well, I do have a lot of weaker spots that have been getting underworked and are generally important. Legs!
Squat
2 sets of 10+ - bodyweight, kinda just warmup
Goblet squat
16 kg kettlebell - 2 sets of 20
32 kg kettlebell - 1 set of 20
Frontal squat
16 + 32 kg kettlebells - 2 sets of 20 - way harder when you have to hold the kettlebells like that. Sweating way too much from these efforts! On first set I had the 32 in left, and the opposite on second. Second set felt strangely easier for my cardio, but I cheated a little by not extending fully and also I stumbled less; stumbling sure took away a lot of energy.
RPotD - "Boston Stump" The tower of St Botolph's Church, Boston, is visible for many miles over the flat scenery of Lincolnshire and is known as "Boston Stump". Looking south east from the visitor moorings on the River Witham.
