Thursday, October 16th - DL for power, 5 sets of 4 from 245 to 255
16.10.2025
Thursday. Morning workout, rare! Feeling better than the last time I've done it, lol. Some weird feelings with blood pressure and breathing but it all went away after first warmup sets.
Okay, here's the detailed breakdown: after Monday workout - which finished at night, early Tuesday morning - I went ahead and gone to the city to work on three of my issues, including having stitches removed from my leg. Didn't sleep, felt okay at first, when I got there I realized my walking is much more wonky in boots outside; my outer calf muscles have been severely weakened by what happened nine days ago, the cutting somehow affected them and then the tourniquet must have damaged them. So I was walking and almost twisting my ankle, doing a real weird wiggle UNLESS I forced those aching muscles upright - which they could barely do. They're a little better now, Thank God! But I walked, experimented, grown dehydrated. Post office and got my new diploma, then the service center and inquired about some of the payouts - they are working on it now. Then the clinic, stitches out; could barely put the boot back on due to rib cramping. Dehydrated as heck! Then I ended up at a big mall eating a couple real spicy thai soup and then an extremely crappy icecream. That didn't use to be the case when I was younger, all that! Couldn't find mcdonalds, hehe, it was separate from the food court. Waddled to the train and home, foot forced straight. Got home and took teh most immediate shower in my life. Could not fall asleep easily at all! Woke up at 2 AM and fiddled around fairly aimlessly, as I tend to; except I cooked a bunch of food for myself and my brother, of course. Got the delivery of new "official" clothing - I do look quite good in it, if I end up at any "elite" regiment again that oughta do the job. I don't intend to use them, although they look real good - fleece body and crotch, combat shirt and pants, sleeves and pantlegs multicam, decent layers. The sewing is kinda mediocre though, afraid to tear - that's why I'll keep it away.
Now it's Thursday morning, I wanted to work out yesterday. I woke up at 10 PM after that, after receiving the clothing and the actual Forrest Gump book - SO different from the movie! - as well as crappy wraparound goggles, good enough I say, at least they're cheap. I don't look like Lynch from Kane and Lynch in them! Or like Waingro, who was the prototype. Still haven't seen that movie, I really have to. I have fake ADD, hehe. The internet! Speaking of ADD, I've been writing for long, this is the second big chunk of writing in the last hour - the first one was me working on the book, the part where Zita goes to the trailer camp! New stuff. Considering reeeeally major rewrites. But the GOOD stuff I already wrote, I'll make absolute sure to use it.
Workout
Deadlift
20 for 20
70 for 20 break and writing here - 1300 words from under the graphomaniac's fingers, hehe
120 for 10
160 for 5
200 for 5 - 2 okay reps, two bad reps, three decent reps in slower tempo. This is where I wrote everything above. Kevin Gage - Waingro - he was really cute, Lynch was a little more dense and then Trevor really dense. Obviously Trevor is mostly based off Steven Ogg, but you know, there is cultural inheritance.
230 for 4
245 for 4 easy, mixed grip as well as reverse mixed grip
248 for 4 real easy, I think I did one or two mixed grip when the skin started going so I went ahead and picked up the straps.
250 for 4 easy
253 for 4 real easy
255 for 4 easy - perfect, simple as that, heavy wight moved with ease, a lot of extra energy left to assist recovery. I gotta do a tiny bit more though, just a tiny bit. I ended up writing over 4000 words today so far, a chapter done in two writing sessions - not bad! But I have a lot of painful plot birthing to do, you know, funny stuff. REMEMBER what happened, cause that's how I do it! The bar's waiting for me downstairs now, not unloaded but I have a couple ideas. I've been eating olives, a crazy craving for what I assume is electrolytes!
190 for 4 - stiff legged speed deadlift from slight deficit, without deadstop. I wanna believe it wasn't exactly a typical touch-and-go cause I went down fast.
That was enough for me. I tweaked some of my back earlier, just a little stretch - that's probably from the bed. Feeling good. Done some cleanup, done some chores. Gonna do some editing and reading.
