October 6th, Monday - Light Bench

 06.10.2025

I had a cut on my ankle that was deep, supposedly arterial. Yesterday. Called 911 and went to the hospital. Had a rubber tourniquet underknee. Don't know how much blood I lost, but I didn't go dizzy. Was very thirsty though. Thank God, they did a good job and sutured it up. Went home limping, but I was actually limping from the tourniquet use and not the cut. A little worried. I have a tiny piece of glass in my left foot but it should come out naturally. It hurts but I'm able to stand pretty easily.

All that weakened me a little, sure. Just when I was feeling really, really strong. Not a big deal - it's just a deep scratch.

Workout

Warmup - some, shoulders, elbows and wrists, mostly with rubbers, some wall pushups

Bench press

50 for 30+

100 - 3 sets of 20 - feels nice and easy. Nice round number, easy pump. Feels good. I think you're supposed to press in a way that feels like you're trying to push away the bar with the space in between your thumb and a base of your index finger, on both hands obviously. I think that add power to elbows.

And that's about it. Maybe I'll write more about what happened - nothing too serious, mind you - maybe I won't. Also really enjoying wearing my fleece pants for the workout, and the top too. They're super good.
