August 10th, Sunday - Deadlift 8 sets of 2
10.08.2025
I really want to write. It's late, but not too late. I need to free myself. Unburden, forget. Forget everything except things I cannot forget. That can be done. Important things, painful ones too. But the workout. It might not be a perfect day for it. But it's a good day. And I actually have a semi-easy workout planned. Sometimes doing more work is better than doing less. I feel very confident about today. I will be going downstairs and working out. Last Friday was a bit of a pause. Annoying. But I dealt with it. It's been dealt with. I'm better, even if there are still things to consider. Cycles. It keeps moving, circling. It feels like fate.
Workout
Deadlift
20 - 70 - 120
160 for 5 - not bothering about specific numbers but more about feeling it today
200 for 1 and a half - one very bad overhand rep (cause I gripped it wrong), one very good one
230 for 1 and a half - whimsy tried hook grip, can't do it yet, not without dedicating some time to it, one super fast rep that I sort of ended up ripping off the floor (moving unevenly) which, I admit, goes against my "acceleration" paradigm... But I feel like there might be something behind it. Something meaningful.
260 for 2 very god, pretty easy - but I admit, I don't feel warmed up yet. Thankfully, the lifts were smooth. And I have 7 more sets planned ahead... Heh.
260 for 2 nice
260 for 2 okay
265 for 2 lovely. I can feel the warmup. Fingers seemingly bleeding sticky again.
265 for 2 not bad
270 for 2 decent, heavy
270 for 2 much better, much easier, but I did tweak a part in my erector a little, on the right side. The problem is that I rely too much on my abs and on locking out by showing my torso in between my shoulders and hands. But I admit I might be misreading it. I used to have these tweaks more often, mostly due to imbalance. Thus only one side. But I have been intentionally "laxing" my back, making it more like Konstantinov's technique. I talked about it before. One more set...
270 for 2 good. Easy first rep, but I felt like I need a break, so I took a short pause, ended up messing with my player cause the playlist ended - that wasn't smart. But the good thing that happened is that Manowar came up! So I did the second rep. It was medium-hard, and I walked back and racked the bar.
It's inspiring when you realize you loaded almost all of the plates. I loaded all the actively-used plates, that's for sure, heh.
A workout worth celebrating! I feel like God is talking to me. Hallelujah!
