May 3rd and May 1st - Bench and OHP/PP/one arm jerk/Squat PR
01.05.2025
Feeling good. Nutrition decent - ate little but at least stomach feels okay.
Workout
Warmup - some pushup variations, wrist stretches
Bench
20 - 70
100 for 5
120 for 5
130 for 5
140 for 5
145 for 5 not bad
148 for 5
150,5 for 5 - not bad. I hesitate to call it a PR, but it was a nice heavy set - the last rep, however, I had to struggle and bridge up til my lats helped my triceps 😁
Enjoying writing. Might I work out tomorrow? Don't know.

Nice day. No pain 😀 Yesterday too.
Workout
Warmup - long, mostly wrists
Overhead press and clean
20
70 - 2 sets of 2 cleans and presses - not in that order. I think it was a press, then two cleans and another press.
100 - 2 sets of 2 - same. One clean was only to chest - I decided to count it for volume. Then I switched it up a little and managed to clean better. Enjoying rewered playlist on my player. Brutal god the band is pretty good!
Push press
100 for 2 very easy, close to presspush
120 for 2 lovely, smooth - CNS is near perfect today. Also I haven't been having any muscle cramps! I wonder how that's happening. Might it be cause I'm actually eating less, is that a feasible theory? The food attracts less water and less salt to digest it. Also, it's possible it's because I've only been doing low reps lol.
One arm dumbbell jerk (pushpress) from shoulder
23 for 1
46,5 for 1 each arm - it kinda feels like I've done two reps. Hmmm. (It's a joke, a semantic one).
It feels more fitting to call it a jerk. One of my old internet fellows, a good and strong kettlebell and dumbbell lifter, he used to get hyper butthurt about strongmen doing the dumbbell press from the shoulder rather than from 'hand'. Kettlebell lifters do the jerk from 'hand' - but in reality, they put the weight on their actual hip, don't you know? That's why one armed kettlebell lift record can be set by a thin guy, as opposed to a dumbbell - cause they can fit the weight on their hip, leaning back. Too tired to explain it well, so I hope you understand I'm talking about. I, however, am already sort of a big guy so i wanna know how to jerk that big weight. Just gonna do that 46,5 kgs though. One more rep then some squats!
46,5 for 1 okay
Squat
Long warmup - typical hip stretches. My legs are currently very uneven due to muscle tightness.
100 for 4
It's possible my cramps are gone cause I stopped taking creatine, for three days now. Maybe I just need less? I stopped taking it cause I hoped it could stop my rib pain.
150 for 2 - I admit I got way too lazy here after a break and almost stopped. It was 1+1
190 for 2 - not bad, wraps two loops under and above knee
220 for 2 - seasonal PR, high bar pr 😁 Well, it wasn't a 'neck squat' per se, but it definitely was high bar, on traps, not delts. Second rep was a grind - it was a deep, leaning forward squat - technical mistake, but I managed it. Feels good! To think I was almost about to stop at 150. I used my yellow 15 kg plates. The set was uneven - I suspect the plates as most likely culprit.
