Watched "The Frighteners" this night. Really fucked up movie! I loved it. It was a lot of fun, a typical 90s movie. It was fucked up because of how ultimately dark it was. I just felt it, a lot of really dark stuff in there, feels like it was written by someone who has experienced some really bad stuff in their life. Otherwise a lot of fun, one of great 90s movies that we need in our lives.
On Wednesday I had way too much fun... Party hardy as some would say. God have mercy, please! I feel good now. My stomach hurts - not related to the aforementioned fun, just so we're clear. Great workout it was, very distracted too but great otherwise. Now I'm having doubts about going back there again. I feel like I'm a deeply incompetent person in most things I do, and really socially unfit for a lot of things. That happens. It's only a feeling. Doesn't mean I'm completely useless. Didn't sleep much today, gave a lesson. Been having kefir in the last 10 hours when my stomach started to hurt. I think it's been making it worse. I just need normal milk.
Workout
Warmup - some, varied
Overhead press
20 - 50 - 70 - some cleans alongside presses
90 for 4 - first 2 presses off the rack, then 2 clean&presses
100 for 5 - first two, then one clean and three presses
108 for 8 - nice. Technique pretty ugly, but my body (back, core and torso) was getting tired way more than my arms and shoulders. That's the power of a standing press - takes real grit for you to exert your smaller bits. You're lifting it very high!
Push press
108 - 2 sets of 2 - I love how smooth it was. Wrist feeling more or less okay as well. That's the power of resting!
Squat - sets of 5
70 - 100 - 120 - feeling peculiarly easy, like I don't have to put in a lot effort to lift today.
140 for 5 all good.
Thank God for this session. Thank God for bringing me peace when I really need it.
