February 23 and 24 - Bench, OHP, PP, some struggles; possibly excessive work
23.02.2025
Bench press
20 for 20
50 for 15
70 for 10 or 5
100 for 5
120 - 4 sets of 5 - figuring out harmless techniques... No bridging, pressing sort of "away" from my head rather than straight up, elbows flared but when I press "away" in this manner they're not AS flared... There was some very minor tension in my left pec.

Nice enough day. Slept very well, ate well too, arguably too much even, which is quite a rarity. Somehow I reached a point where my digestive system isn't keeping up with my appetite and my perceived energy needs, or maybe I just have constipation. In other words, I think that I don't shit enough. Been workign on more rewriting, not perfectly in the groove but close...
Workout
Warmup - PWC pipe stretches, L flys
Overhead press
20 for 20
50 for 10
70 for 5
90 for 5
103 for 3 a little wacky, had to do it as 2+1
108 for 3 better, but I had to do it as 1+2 as I fixed my technique today
Push press
50 for 1
70 for 1
100 for 1 - not bad, it's all pretty decent and straightforward today
120 - tissues feeling like shit, can't unrack properly. Hmm. You can't always train very often, can you? Not without a lot of light sessions replacing rest days. Well, today is a form of a light session. I'm doing well-controlled lifting.
120 for 1 after reloading the plates. I was reminded of the term 'presspush' which might be confusing; but it's a pushpress with a weak push and pronounced press, so that's what it was. Not bad overall. Rack was bad; I did it 'from hands'.
120 - 4 sets of 1 - nice. I didn't give up and got what I needed. The technique was getting better with every set.
The idea I had in my mind today was to focus on PP, on technique and on my CNS getting more used to it. I think it turned out alright. 120 is a light enough weight - but it's not light for *every* component of my lifting mechanism. It's easy for arms and legs, but hard for a lot of things in between them. Also, I was working on pushing the bar behind my head; I had some wobbling and stepping around as I attempted to stabilize myself. But overall I'm really glad I'm able to work my system into a proper groove to perform PP with a heavy enough weight. If my max was 150 it'd be 80%... I should really focus on myself and do it.
