October 28th - Actually doing squats
28.10.2024
Nice day. Ate decent, about 7/10, slept about the same. I think my side is getting better. Also, I've been thinking that sleeping in a pajamas is a great idea, cause it should work like a thermos and allow you to both stay cool or warm for longer, without you having to find that subtle equilibrium. I've been sleeping in a t-shirt, barely covered by a blanket. It's been rather warm, especially compared to previous years. I think I have some form of rhinitis, but, some more good news - it was more prominent yesterday, less so today. Also, I had no coffee yesterday. I was bored, feeling like I'm lacking creativity. I did a lot of small edits in the book, all over, but mostly the start and the end. I got dragged into rewriting the first "tome" (first google doc, since they have symbol limitation). It's curious. I'm restructuring my understanding of some of my characters, putting more of myself and my feelings in them. It's only appropriate, cause I was a very different person a year ago. I dread re-editing tome 2... It's seriously loaded. Often there's a lot of repetitive stuff I gotta cut out. It's a curious process. It's both graphomania and a little game of dice. Dice are entertaining. Random stuff is entertaining. That's been sort of the theme of this blog for a while now, even in 2020. All the time. Strange artful symbols. Using the glue of visual - proprioceptional symbolism - to connect non-visual things. That's how I came up with my little silly alias so long ago.
Anyways, I've had one conventional pot brew. About to finish it... It turned out nice.
Some time later... I've grown addicted to using ellipses. He he. Grotesqueries is a nice band... Really cavernous, really nice usage of reverb... Can't get enough reverb sometimes. Anyways, I wanted to note how I finally feel like I can break away from rewriting old stuff and write new stuff... He he. My writing style sure does sound demented... Hehe. You gotta push the boundaries until you become your own caricature, hehe. Then you can dial it down... Just like with lifting. You gotta lift as hard and heavy as you can, cause there is no alternative to it... Until you get injured or some other bs. That means you've pushed the boundaries hard enough. Recently I've been feeling dumb as fuck, way dumber than before... I've been feeling this way ever since I saw this video about how plant oils ruin your brain. As a philosopher, I can't conclude that I am actually dumber. Scientific method and all that. I can't measure how smart I was and I can't measure how smart I am now. I know there's a guaranteed way to boost my ego a little bit and that's to take a vocabulary test, hehe... I've recently been struggling with building sentences, but it's actually not a new thing. I keep searching for words that don't exist, and when I find the words that normal people use I'm all like "hell no, this word is lacking in nuance! How the HELL there isn't a more detailed word?" But, oh well, there just isn't. You have to stuff sentences upon sentences to explain *exactly* what you mean... I swear I'm not a schizo, hehe. Anyways, plant oils... You gotta stop having them, at least in excess. Have some meat instead. I like having raw meat, but I'm always reminded of that episode of House... I think it's literally the first ever episode where the lady got worms in her legs from eating le pork. One of my girlfriends in the past told me she liked House and I argued with her it's traumatizing cause of that exact episode... I was a very young individual back then you see, hehe. Now I like House cause of how old and bitter and how much of a failure of a human beign the main character is... Still valuable enough to keep going on. The writing is often flawed, but it's not a big deal... The last season wasn't so bad. I stopped being so critical of music and so hateful of some genres when I became a bit of a musician myself... I guess now that I'm a bit of a writer I don't hate poor writing as much, provided it's all done sufficiently thoughtfully... No, I do hate poor writing, I hate corporate writing, I really hate Star Wars episode 7 and everything that came after that... Fuck Lucas for selling out. I don't give a shit, stupid ass slop to just rake in money from a new generation of slop lovers... Gotta turn art into profit, amirite? Hehehe.
The actors, however, they did a good job in those movies, same as most of the film crew. The writers, however, definitely need to be spanked, hard. Come up with something new ffs!

Workout
Warmup - some, not too much. Pvc pipe shoulders, squats and variations. I've done too much stretching on Friday... How silly.
Squat - as mentioned earlier, we'll do our best to keep it maximally light
20 and 53
73 - 4 sets of 10 - nice, no side pain! Only mild right hip pain. Still uneven and unbalanced. I'll take me some time to align my body parts with one another.\
Bench - roughly the same idea, load-wise
20 - alright
53 - a great amount of strain on my left thumb tendon, the one that pulls it back. No big deal, we'll find a way...
53 - 2 sets of 10 - better, it's warmed up, and I'm wearing wrist wraps.
70 - 3 sets of 10 - not bad, pretty smooth lifting, nothing is painful. There was some moderate crunching in my left wrist and elbow, but that's mostly the result of the tight wrap.
Behind the neck press - more like behind the head on most reps - after watching Bromley's recent video I wanted to give it a shot. You see, I have decently flexible shoulders, cause I often do the snatch grip stretches and warmups, for OHP and squat.
20 for a few reps
40 for 10 - nice, feels curiously relieving
20 for a few more reps
I've got this hunch - merely a hunch, I admit - that BTN press can help me deal with my unevenness between my shoulders. Keep in in mind?
Tricep with spring expander, using a folded rope as a handle this time
3 set of 50 - relatively short range, using lats too. Lovely pump. Generally light, very little burn.
You know, I feel like I might have stiffened my wrists by using the expander for tricep in a weird way, with my thumbs... But that's just a guess as well.
Squats with a PVC pipe
1 set - testing the movement
2 set pretty epic for 20+ reps while listening to Annihilator... Takes me back to when I used to listen to thrash/speed metal more, hehe.
3rd - same, pretty epic. I noticed I don't really tire if I squat "into my hips" (more like powerlifting squat), but then they start to creak and hurt a little. I then started to do more of a deep knee bend
My efforts paid off - my left leg is very staunch, flexible and powerful. Right one lacks there qualities in comparison now, lol. Gotta work on it too.
