Speartember 28th - Squat stretches
27.09.2024
Lovely day, four hours of sleep but I feel okay. Kind of fuzzy, but smooth enough. I hope I'm not overexaggerating. Had a couple conventional coffee - because I just really wanted them. Thirsty. I wanna do some pumping and prehab today even though it's a rest day. Should be nice. Got nothing except questions about my workout tomorrow. It's very uncertain, in other words... let's see what we can do today!
Workout
Warmup - mostly just arms and forearms, some torso moves
6+6 kg dumbbells - 2 sets of various experimental curls and presses - mostly windmill presses to see how much I can load my injured obliques before they hurt (almost doesn't hurt). The weights were so light I could actually punch them, or imagine I'm some bad person when I was curling, hehe. That makes you use more of your CNS in the lift without loading it as much as a heavy weight would! Today's supposed to be a rest day. I kinda really want to go back to training every day, somehow!
I think I did about 7-8 sets more with curls and windmill presses, and some complexes with one arm - DLs, curls and presses, focusing a bit more on left. Up to 12 kg per hand - a pair fo 6s in one and a 12 kg loadable dumbbell in other. I got so hot I hat to take off my shirt, it got cold, I put on my woolen belt, then it got hot again I had to take off my pants and put on shorts. Feels great to do something as simple as this on a day like today. Writing Marco a lot, chapter 65. You know, it would honestly be hilarious if I just released chapter 65 all of a sudden... But no, I can't allow myself that. Or can I? I dunno. It's just, it might have spoilers. And I do care about spoilers. Gah, I just wish I could, like, make sure my book doesn't get lost if I disappear. It's a historically important book, cause it's one of the examples - earliest examples - of an author like me taking their time to use AI as an assistant to write a book, you see. And an adventure/psychology/coming of age book specifically. Books written with AI are usually slop. You put in one page (prompt), you get 5. Right now, today, my workflow is more like I write 1.5 pages and get out 1, cause the AI helps me formulate my thoughts a bit more clearly and cut off unnecessary/background things. But don't you worry, I make sure every time, or at least most of the time nothing really valuable or important gets cut off. Yeah, like I'm gonna have fans. Hmm. I know I will post it eventually, somewhere, here or one of them fanfic archives. I like some fanfics, I've read a few on Fallout (when I played with NovelAI tuning). And I delved into the classic ones, the ones with Kyros Gloom etc. Phantasmagoria simulacra!
By the way, speaking of games. Yesterday for the first time in a week I played in a normal public lobby. Apparently they have made their anti-cheat better and banned all the baddies. Heck yeah. Heck, there might be some justice in the world. The mighty dollar can do some good for once. We'll make the fat cats listen before we have to have sizzling cat filet. I even made some references to modders in Marco, heh. Busted by myself!
All this talk, watching all these videos about whining modders makes me wanna play GTAO. Also, I've been feeling like I wanna overcome my distaste towards the Bri'ish and play FOLON (Fallout London). I knew one good British guy, Mr. White was his name, but he was Welsh, so my displeasure is quite justified, he he. And just so we're perfectly clear - I am kidding, I don't have a great reason to dislike the British besides politics. Why, I used to be quite an avid viewer of some of their comedy shows, like Q and 8 out of 13 cats. Even the one with the boring guys is really funny. I found myself trying to pick all the words and numbers very often, sometimes beating everyone, even Susie Dent. I do have quite the vorpaculary, you know. Some of the words I dislike unreasonably (like the british, hehe)? "Glistening" and "mingling". Uuh. *shudders* Glistening is more or less okay, but "mingling"... UH! Stop making me say it, hehehe. I killed so many mosquitoes today. Sometimes they just land on my monitor I carefully push them down like a button. They rarely fly away. Why do they do that? I want everyone who drinks my blood to stop doing it. And I find that quite symbolical. It cheers me up. +1 XP. +2 XP when I once managed to clap a pair of them! Like in the fairy tale, except it's only two. You know, I better close the blogger tab before I get stuck here, hehehe.

Nice day, better sleep, disturbing vivid dreams. A couple pots of conventional coffee.
Workout
Warmup - some, had to go downstairs to do BW squat because I'm wary of shaking my table
Squat
20 for about 10 - creaky but okay. Wanted to put on kneewraps under, but I figured it need some stimulation if it were to grow extra tissue. You don't wanna coddle yourself on light weights.
53 for 15 - I think I've figured out the issue with my side. It's my left ankle - it's got metal in it, it's generally less mobile and it has grown stiff while I was away. So, we're casting down or new ideas of "strongman squat" and going back to "Klokov superpause squats". Those 15 reps were not too simple - mostly cause of pain and having to rectify my stature consciously. But, I feel nice, and I know there are fixes to my body coming.
I've been thinking that for my next venture in life I'll be leaving home again, for a while as well. But I don't have quite a lot of ideas of what exactly I will be doing.
53 for 15 - lovely, quads are working, but stays close to heel-line (the vertical line), angles are getting better. You may want to have these stricter angles for warmup whenever you squat
53 for 15 - nice, done very slow with a lot of pauses everywhere.
Sat down on the porch steps, fully squatting. In May or June 2023 I was doing the same thing when I discovering the new techniques. Today I was stiff. I spent some time actively stretching, you know, a-la twerking - going from full squat into a full deficit DL bottom position. It's really curious that my hamstrings almost do not cramp when I flex them in a bottom position of a squat. It makes sense if you know what cramping is and how the muscles are attached. If only I was able to remember that.
53 for 15 - that was the 4th, done a lot more stretching afterwards, and a lot of front of the shin exercise - it's a great and easy exercise, you just sit down on a small thing, and then you flex your shins a little bit to move up and forward an inch from that thing into a deep squat position. I have done it a lot before, rediscovering it today. Soon, soon I shall have a more even body! Or, maybe you don't even need to sit, just squat down and lean against the wall, and move from that position into stable full squat with your shin muscles.
Doing some more of that stretch, by the wall. Feels good.
I wanna play FO76 and finally do some quests there. It's such a shame the guns in that game are all so fantasy-looking. It's so boring. Meanwhile in FNV the first thing you do is shoot bottles like some gun-toting gun nut. Isn't that amazing that we do have a game like FNV?
