September 23 and 25 - Deadlift

 23.09.2024

OHP session 8. 4 sets of 2 with 85%. 102 or 103 kgs.

Every man is a separate man. There's no global *single* evil. Some of those lesser - but still large - evils, all sorts of big guys - use certain categories of people as a buffer to absorb hate that should be headed towards them. That's one of the conclusions I arrived to recently.

Also, a curious conclusion about myself. You may start to imagine yourself as kind of special thing that is lesser (i.e. worse) than a normal thing but is still good cause it's special (after after undergoing some trauma or continual failure of some kind). End up putting a stereotypical false "unique" label on yourself. That's what I was thinking about myself for a long time. But no more, I'm taking this label off myself. That's enough about that. I'm normal, i.e. not exceptional. Exceptional usually has a good connotation, doesn't it? But, again, enough about that.

You know, it's strange. It's late. What if I only had a light workout? I feel like I want to have more energy later rather than today. It's late already. Low energy after that three day coffee rager. There's merit to only sleeping only 6 hours, cause you can't relax fully and wake up excited. That was the case for me for the last three days. Funny! Too bad it made my squat bad. Hmm. I'd rather take the proper grooving. But yes, today we're gonna keep it light again.

Workout

Squat

6 sets of 15 BW - feels nice

Calf raises in full squat - 2 sets - pretty difficult exercise, especially for your feet

25.09.2024

Nice enough day. Nutrition has been rather poor, leading to some emotional instability and chaotic dreams. But's it's a little better now.

Deadlift Session 5 - 5 sets of 8 with 67,5%. Hmm. It'll definitely take some time. But also it might be rather easy.

It's getting later and later. Kind of typical, but it's not a big deal.

Workout

Warmup - fairly short, focusing problematic spots such as hips, hams and obliques

Deadlift - sets of 8

20 - 70 - 120 - 160 quick warmup. All overhand. Last set was hard for grip

Oh man, working out is my salvation. I'd wither and just rot if I didn't work out.

203 for 8 okay, easy, but left side hurts

203 for 8 much better, not just because of warmup - made my stance a bit more toes out, and had to adjust my grip more to the right which is actually a super common occurrence for me. Better! Also, surprised by how much I felt my quads on this one

203 for 8 pain again, although much easier set. Maybe I should not have oiled up my bar, hehe! Or I should have made sure to push the right side in after the last set. And it's probably not the bar's fault - just my twistedness always bumping the right side harder against the floor when I lower it. Just FYI I'm not doing touch and go, all reps are with a pause on the floor.

203 for 8 okay, mediocre all the way except for the pain which is significantly above average. Also I went ahead and did 8 shrugs for fun. May want to do mroe shrugs. Also I may wanna do a 2020 again for a couple weeks and just stop lifting heavy. So far my resolve is moving towards it, except for OHP. No DL, no squat, nothing above 140 kgs.

A bit of a yoketober, if you will? Hehe. I do recommend Napalm's channel. He took my only significant world record I ever set! Well, I set an unofficial WR. In what? Front pickaxe level. May want to try it again at some point, if I feel confident about my grip. I've been doing a lot of rubber ring gripper work, even right now, hoping to prehab my hands. Strictly my hands, nothing too problematic in wrists and forearms, thank God. But hands have been feeling fragile-ish. Not there yet, but I'd rather be cautious.

The pain in my left side was less bad if I squatted down more. Makes sense, that way it's less stretched.

Some curls, presses and flys (not flies) in seated and squatting position with a pair of 6 kg dumbbells, two arms and one arm. Some relief coming from it. It feels like I screwed, but truth is I'm horribly stubborn. I dunno. I don't want to stop deadlifting, waah! He he he.

Some hangs, some weird movements, some more flys... I'm determined to find a good way to recover quickly. Just avoiding all work is wrong, that much I know.
