Someguy has returned! OHP and Bench

 01.09.2024

I'm just so excited tonight. That's what you get when you get good sleep, extra good even. I am so excited in this giddy, innocent sense, you know? Tomorrow's promising to be an amazing day and I'm loving it. Reality... reality shifts in layers.

02.09.2024

Nice day overall. Another day of not controlling my sleep very well. Well, you can blame Someguy2000 for his lovely design choices (it's a praise, just so we're clear). Played Russell mod, which is Someguy2000's gentle and subtle self-insert, from what I can tell. Obviously, Someguy's real self-insert is Bobby Bass. I mean, what a motherfucker, he just went ahead and privated all his videos! Did he get a job as a fed or something? Cause that's the only thing that really makes sense. Although I heard he went back to army, or maybe that's just false memory. He's been active on his reddit.

Anyway, in Russell there was a huge cave that I don't even remember from 2014 (I think that's when I played it first?) And a huge, *huge* amount of ghouls that would have been insanely dangerous if it wasn't for my character's build (Stonewall + Purifier and other melee focus). Also, yesterday I went all sweaty nerd and installed a respec mod which is sort of counter-fidelitous to the nature of JSawyer hardcore mod. You get *way* too few perks with that mod, only 17! And you just *have* to pick a really useless one at lvl 2. I respecced from a mixed melee-crit-energy weapons build into melee-sneak-crit build with Pack Rat perk, which is lowkey insanely overpowered with all the JSawyer changes. Even that, however, didn't stop me from running out of supplies, particularly Radaway in that ghoul cave. I think it was called Cholla mountains? Probably based on a real life location, innit?

Mothafucka! He ***is*** modding again! I just knew it! The guy in one of AlChestBreach's videos totally sounded wayyy too much like him, so I just went ahead on this nostalgic hunt last night and started NVBII on my current character as well as Russell! I checked his reddit user account and it checks out!

He is back! He has risen! https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/88773 I guess I'll be playing it soon. I wonder if I can do anything to get a voice role in one of the mods, cause that would be the dream. Unlikely, but possible, I do have something to offer, I think.

Anyway, it's late, as you might have guessed. I have a pressing workout - both OHP and bench again. I have a good feeling about all that.

Workout - Session 3

Warmup - a tiny bit

Overhead press

20 and 50

70 for 8

93 for 5 - kinda hard, but done superstrictly, pure arm control

93 for 5 - nice, much better. 93 is that weird weight that is too light to heavy but just a little too heavy to do easily. But this one was nice, I am particularly please with my breathing.

93 for 5 - amazing, super easy and very strict

So, I have kind of a curious approach now and this how I'm cutting and separating the volume. i'm more proficient in OHP (compared to bench), and that's one of the reasons it's getting a smaller bit.

Bench press

50 for 30

100 for 5

125,5 for 5 - actually, it turned out to be 128. A simple confusion of plates! Medium-hard effort.

128 for 5 - kinda hard, but I barely took a break

128 for 5 - a little better, feeling my pecs work. Medium-hard-light, hehe

128 for 5 pretty easy, listening to the second half of Dark Avenger!

Okay, I *kinda* wanna do just one more! I bet you're getting annoyed with my usage of the cringe asterisks, eh? Hahahehe.

128 for 5 - lovely. I think it might have been excessive, but we'll see how it goes in general.

Russell (i.e. James) drinking soda in combat... And all the other screenshots. I don't what it is that makes me go all fangirl on Someguy2000. I just think we could have been friends and hung out nad worked out together. Knowing me, it'd be a pretty toxic relationship. I think it's probably just nostalgia and the fact the he really resonates with my spirit and has been inspiring me since 2014 when I bought my laptop and the first thing I played on it was FNV. Keep in mind, FNV was one of those games I've been really waiting for. I first purchased it in Autumn 2010. I remember that day. I also bought a super hard rubber gripper that day. The one that's all torn up and broken by now, in my desk. What a life! Memories. Nostalgia... it's better than sex, I'm just saying, hehe
