December 30-31, Sat-Sun - Nice enough couple o' days, subpar training
30.12.2023
Workout - very light session
Wall pushups, rubber pulls, light ohp
Pushup plank and 10 pushups - 2 sets
Reading some old posts. I remember when I had the long-lasting elbow issue. So glad it's gone now! And now wrist issues either. I should do some drumming tomorrow. 8-1-8, and the basic grooves with different bass drum pedal placements. That'll make me happy. Also I'll squat.
I really should go back to workouts no more than 4 times a week.
2023 was a shit year. Some good things, they came and went. Too much suffering. I used to hurt, but this year I started to rot. I gave up on a lot of things. But not on everything. And not on myself. I am still alive and I am still a force of nature. Perhaps I am hybernating, taking my time to burst out and do what needs to be done. Optimistic. Fresh. Surprised.

Nutrition 7/10, sleep same, mental state not too bad either, about 6/10. Had one moka so far. I feel in control of myself today. Thank God. You gotta take things one step at a time. And sometimes you have to learn to stay in place, even when pushed somewhere. It's hard, but not much harder than taking it one step at a time. A few steps together and you've already started moving with acceleration. That's good. Just redirect yourself and go where you need to go, step my step. Like on a bike at low speed. You can climb up hills at the first gear. Slow, but capable. Change your mind, change your soul and change your brain.
I'd like to set some kind of mini PR today, perhaps. Only perhaps! Hard work should be above small mental pleasures. But if I were to do 180 for 8 as a finishing set that'd be very good. It'd only be a PR in a specific technique, however, and only a two rep pr, but it would be it nonetheless. It sounds very easy now that I frame it like that. The family is around, social atmosphere is pleasant, more or less. That's good.
Workout
Warmup - some, I took too long
Squat
20 for 10
50 for 8
100 for 8
143 for 8 - it was all good, but i felt very lazy after the squat. I wasn't automatically generating a lot of effort while lifting! Wore wraps underknee. The technique was very good, torso was very vertical.
Happy New Year just now, in between sets, as I'm taking my break :D
143 for 8 - feeling so lazy, it's ridiculous. But I did all reps very well! Working out after midnight might make you lazy sometimes.
143 for 8 - it was nice that I could do it, but also kinda horrible how I felt xD Well, not bad, just sort of very low pressure. It makes sense that would drop late at night, when it's gotten so cold. I'll make sure not to have such late workouts in the foreseeable future. I am confident with this one.
