January 12th, Friday - Lovely OHP session, strength upped a little, random health issues
12.01.2024
So, it's Friday. I didn't write much about what's going on, did I? Let me check... No, wait, I did, obviously. Wednesday was kind of a messy day for me. It was a very long day, very fatiguing. Recently, the left side of my body has been hurting, something inside, something related to blood pressure. The first search suggests spleenomegaly. Curious. Kinda silly. The usual trope of "googling symptoms", hehe. You know, if you're a writer or something like that you may enjoy reading tvtropes site.
Yesterday, after sleeping in complete dead sleep all day, I woke up feeling something. I dunno, man. I just gotta keep praying. I don't feel bad, I don't feel lost, but I kinda feel locked up. Like, somebody's locked me in a room but then is telling me to keep going. I need help, man. All I can do is pray. It's all been not very rewarding at all. You muster up some strength, all your strength to try once and you get swatted down to the ground. What can a man do to keep going, keep doing anything at all while the only thing really waiting for him is death? I can only pray.
Today I'm working. A great habit keeping me afloat. It's kinda late. I've been a lot of unusual stomach pains. Like my stomach is creasing, a sharp pain in a horizontal line. Not sure where that came from. That's different from what I described. You gotta keep trying, man. Maybe that's the whole point. Maybe to "keep trying" you just gotta "keep trying" in your head, just something, anything at all. Not necessatily naything specific or certain. Just stay afloat while the rivers of life, however slow, take you to your final destination. I'm opposed to the idea of "not staying afloat", no matter how appealing it feels so very often. Thank God, at least that bother is gone, more or less. I'm positive about some things. Maybe not all things, but more things. I'm thinking of combining two exercises today, actually. I wanna start with OHP and move to squat. It'll be very late, I know. It'll be good.
I had two mokas today. They felt so strangely watery, thin. Well, it's better than before. I'm not going bitterly mad today. All that swatting down, crashing against the ground, it sort of reduces that feeling, I guess. Retaliation is meaningless. I think I'll have one conventional brew, wait a little bit and then start my late workout.

Didn't work out at all yesterday. I think it should bring about some positive changes, since I know it's possible to progress very well without workign out every day. Usually my workouts are relatively low on volume since I started working out every day.
Workout
Warmup - some
Overhead press
20
50 for 5
70 for 10 - kinda wanted to do more reps. It felt nicer. Also, yeah, I decided to move OHPs from tomorrow to today, cause my Monday workout was really easy. I'm bothered by the fact that I limit my volume, I don't do two exercises per sessions, it feels a little wrong. But then again, my volume per single exercise is pretty high, I've been focuing on doing the right amount, until my final sets feel really hard.
90 for 6 felt good doing all that extra volume somehow. Pretty easy. Breathing isn't as easy, but the movement is nice and smooth.
100 for 5 after only a short break - felt really great, about the same as previous set. My delts feel like springs.
105 for 2
108 for 2 all easy. Those two sets were almost a one set. Not diligent to not take a proper break, hehe.
110,5 for 2 - okay, not as easy. Some balance and grip issues, but I have done it very strict, very slow.
I was thinking of removing all distressing content from my feeds, but I find myself so hooked and stimulated to watching law videos. Even just a guy talking about a case where some landowners sued a balloon company, somehow that ignites intrigue in my mind. Why, I wonder?
110,5 for 1 and one uncomfortable fail + 2 reps - I've been unracking the bar a little wrong on this and previous set. First of all, there's a sudden sense of comfort and ease today, and I believe it can be partially explained by the fact that I put the racks very high, 5 holes away from top hooks, while I've taken a habit last year to put it lower, to 6 holes down. So, the first sets were great since my struggling, albeit fairly minimal nonetheless, was reduced even more. I got a little too zealous on the last two sets and I put my feet forward too much, so I was sort of leaning back and I really had to dig in with my bar to unrack it. I realised it on the second part of this last set and I unracked it from leaning forward position, so there was no discomfort and choking, and I pressed proper 2 reps with moderate effort. 55/100, I'd say, for a two rep set, even though intially I figured I only need to do one since I've already done one, even though I failed a second one (the fail).
Squat
50 for 10 - my knee feels awfully loose. It's time to curb my squatting and stretching enthusiasm back ever so slightly. But there's still a chance I might do something like squat tomorrow (Saturday, January 13th).
I titled this post "January 12th, Friday - Lovely OHP session, strength upped a little, random health issues". It's a bit sus, isn't it? Mentioning your health, like some kind of drug addict (roid taker). Well, I ain't one, I got nothing to worry about. I'm gifted and dedicated, but also not very disciplined and not perfectly healthy. That's the cards I'm playing with.

An actual completely random picture of the day - today I didn't bother picking through categories to select something I like (like a landscape etc)
