December 18th, Monday - Bench press, moderate-decent, some health and sleep issues
18.12.2023
Okay day. Messy sleep, a lot of coughing, something about my nose and throat again. They feel very dry and stiff, but it's gotten better. Feverish dreams, appetite below average. I think I'm just gonna do some bench press today.
It's possible that I've irritated my airways a bit more with the squats yesterday. I've resolved to actually reduce my coffee intake. Today I've settled on one conventional brew, almost perfect consistency. Lovely aftertaste.
Workout
Warmup - some, minimal
Bench press
20 for 20
50 for 10
70 for 10
100 for 5 feels good, pecs a little frail
120 for 5 about the same
130 for 5 okay, maybe a little better
130 for 5 better
130 for 5 decent. Decided it was enough
Before yesterday, on Saturday, I sure had a weird day. Friday was pretty awesome, as I recall now. I slept all Saturday - once again missing a potential workout, but I haven't been planning anything for certain, so it's not really an issue. And then, after Saturday, I slept some and woke up feeling semi-fresh and nostalgic. I didn't use the window cover and I didn't take any melatonin. That's why I felt so horribly sleepy and fell asleep super early, only getting 5 hours of sleep. And I should have taken a pill today, but I think I didn't. Well, since I haven't been taking it I can now be sure it'll work super strong.
I gotta get my energy back on the wave, you know? It's been too random, and generally too low. I'm not settling for this. I need to have more basic food, less indulgent stuff or lazy whatevers. About to have a lazy whatever kind of a meal right now - old pancakes from a store. Well, at least I feel like carbs are what I need now. It's not a bad kind of carbs. Just need some time to reset my body and my nervous system.
I'd like to do something else, anything else. Maybe it's not that smart. But I will.
Overhead press, seated
2 kg dumbbells - 2 sets of 15 - just what I needed. A tiny pinch of something else. My arms are very uneven.
It's obvious to me. I need to normalize my sleep, somehow. So it's the same, more or less, on all days. And have my heavy workouts far enough from it.
Nice RPotD - cool parrot
