Thursday, November 30th - Light workout, accessory work

 30.11.2023

Kind of a nice day. Feeling very calm. Not much is happening. That thing I talked about earlier, the new opportunity? Cancelled. No big deal. Hey, it felt like something was happening, at least. That felt good. Fulfillment. But I'm just gonna stick to being calm and, I guess, ascetic to a small degree? I ain't been feeling like I need a lot of stuff. And, it is, of course, not exactly correct, but, oh well, it's less than what I used to want back in the day.

Woke up feeling a little thirsty. Not hungry. Decided to go for coffee right away. Yesterday was not a very fatiguing workout. I experimented with hip position on the last set, as evident from yesterday's video. That was interesting. Matt Venna helped me to change my mindset with one of his videos - cause when techiqnue changes it's not a big deal. That guy is a quintessential powerlifter, which means he is deeply flawed, but at least he knows some stuff about what he's doing.

Alright, I don't know what I'm gonna do today. I'm squatting tomorrow, it'll be a pretty fresh squat. Today? Work on forgotten muscle. That makes sense.

Workout

Flys, full range

2 kg dumbbells - 2 sets of 15 as well as some L-flys

6 kg dumbbells - 2 sets of 15

8 kg (6+2) - 2 sets of 15 - feels much lighter than the last time I tried this weight

Lats - I feel it's more prudent not to load them too much today

Rubber lat pulls, one arm, rotating torso - 2 sets of 20 reps

Don't wanna overdo BW squats today, like I did last time. Minimal stuff for the lower body. There's been a lot of risk of accidental overstretching.

Lower body warmup - just some gentle moves and squat variations, 3 sets, a lot of fun

Calf raises

2 sets of 30 - you can make them into a very fun exercise if you utilize the balance challenge. I made it a bit more like a squat and push by moving the pelvis around, so I really had to use my toes to push down to maintain balance. It's not just a calf exercise, but also a whole foot exercise. I ended up mkaign it so difficult my foot muscles kept burnign for a long time 😁

Pushups with a plank hold in the start

Some warmup first - mostly for wrists, but pecs too

20 - 20 - 20

In the last set, I planked until I could count to 200, that was kinda tough. Loaded up my outer delts (rear delts)

I think I just might reinstall BG3 again. My interest level has re-peaked. It'll be awesome.
