November 5th, Sunday - Accessory workout, upper body

 05.11.2023

Nice day. Slept pleasantly, but not enough. Did some stuff, worked. Trying to control my mood - it's good, it's going nice. Smooth pleasant feeling. Don't feel like sharing everything somehow. I need to heal, the wounds are still there, but it doesn't hurt. Just gotta not let em start bleeding again. Feels good.

Not sure what I'll be doing today. I've been going a little too light for a long time. Thinking, perhaps, a heavy OHP tomorrow. Today? No idea, just don't know.

Workout

Flys (full range, roughly emulating my OHP angles)

2 kg dumbbells - 1 set of 15

6 kg pair - 2 sets of 15

8 kg pair - 3 sets of 15

Lovely. Gotta never allow myself to make this exrcise "strict", but focus on power and velocity while the weight is light enough to not shift the load from the shoulders. All the strict moves are simply not useful to me. And I do get a nice pump.

One arm press, bottom up 16 kg kettlebell, one set per arm

20 reps right / 20 left - hand to do some breaks of course, to fix position

20 reps right - better, more straight grip / 12+8 left

One arm press, kettlebell on palm

2 set of 10 reps each hand, keeping it light - just to have variety in adaptation

Pushup plank, hollow body, hands low - 2 sets of counting to 60 (not seconds, just so we're clear)

Pushups in a more conventional technique, hands on dumbbells - 1 set of 60 - nice, pecs straining, caught an intense cramp 😂 How foolish of me! Well, I could not have foreseen it, really, I haven't had those in a while. I'm not quite sure if I can allow myself to attempt more pushups after that. How come my pecs are like paper? I need them to be flexible, not fragile. I did squats yesterday, so no wonder they're a bit like that.

Although, a pleasant moment to note - nothing is really hurting! No pain at all, frankly, 'cept for the cramps. Oh, so comedic.

Hollow body pushups / cricket pushups - 2 sets of 15 - thankfully no cramps, decent velocity. I made the second set into pretty much a set to failure for myself. And cricket not as in the sport of cricket, but like an insect. At least I think that's how these pushups were called once.

Squats

4 sets of 15, holding a dumbbell for balance, feeling my obliques.

RPotD - cool house somewhere in Germany. I like the colors.
