August 24th, Thursday - Lightened squat, breaking through tiredness
24.08.2023
Nice day. Slept well. Back faigued from yesterday in the most pleasant way. Sounds a little weird, doesn't it? Strange how such a heavy effort managed to relax me in such a way.
Week 4, Session 1 lightened - 80% for 4 sets of 4.
I just feel like it would be a smart choice to use a small max to calculate today's efforts, even if I squatted big last time. Perhaps we can go just a tiny bit further - I'm feeling nice, after all. Or we can just stick to a smaller weight and lift it with more power, simply teaching our nervous system to work perfectly.
Tomorrow will not be a boring day, I can promise myself that. Friday two weeks ago (more specifically, 13 days ago) was the last boring day I've had. It was borderline making me feel like an ill person.
I think that was the last rest day I've had. Since then I've switched to every day training. Coffee feels about the same. It regulates itself. Well, I still might want to at least attempt to moderate it a tiny bit more.
I'm feeling a little hazy in my conscious part of self. I'm not feeling hazy physically, I think. It's my mind that is feeling a little fogged up, perhaps. Something's not exactly where it should be? Well, I have a few issues I've discovered I'd like to deal with soon, yes. That's gotta be the cause of the haziness.
Practicing E Lydian - slightly more complex mode on the guiter for me, becuase I just so love using open strings. Difficult. Recently, about a week or more ago, I've realised I've gone through a period of being a little too detached from music and my interests rose again. I mean, what are you gonna do with your fingers? Hehe.
My old robusta mixed with the bushido red arabica is a pretty nice combo. I'd like to find when I first actually bought that robusta. It was honestly so overwhelming. Robusta and I have a wavy relationship - I go between loving it and being disgusted by it's unadulturated intensity, which in turn amuses me.
Workout
Warmup - thorough, not too long however, lower body, mostly stabilizer muscles
Squat
20 - 50
100 for 5
120 for 5
160 for 4 - nice, short breaks, nothing feels too creaky or fragile, but I can definitely feel the lacking nerve involvement
160 for 4 - nice again, put wraps underknee
160 for 4 - nice, I enjoyed this, even though I struggled with my desire to continue due to real tiredness. Today's Thursday, after all, and realistically 160 is only 72% of my believable enough max (I actually have squatted 220 just so we're clear, but my technique was very different back then).
160 for 4 - very nice, feeling satisfied.
I've been playing GTA Online a lot. It inspires me to write. I take some things from it and transform them very deeply. This last week was a special cargo event - basically, a type of business where you keep going in between warehouses you've purchased, ordering your accomplices to gather stuff for money, and in free time doing small delivery and collection missions. Pretty tedious, and unlike other businesses you can actually lose a lot of your work if you make a mistake during a sell mission. So, it's pretty nerve-wracking, or was so yesterday. I managed to get crashed by a hacker modder guy (might have been a normal crash), and then lost my biggest warehouse goods from a very banal mistake - had my delivery plane shot down by NPCs. Should have tried getting someone to help me? I think I've literally never had anyone help me at this type of missions.
Well, this week we're having a different type of tedious but somewhat exciting bonuses - it's the biker bonuses week. A lot of extra stuff to get your hands on. Should be fun, and also will help spread players more across the barren map of GTAV.
Some time later
Maybe it's just me, but this is not only overplayer for me, but also just too toxic. I've deleted it and now I'm gonna go ahead and try to play that Baldur's Gate III before Starfield comes out, hehe.
