July 17th, Monday - Nice squats, overcoming weakness and pushing volume

  17.07.2023

Nice day. Slept a lot. Was really low on energy this Sunday. Managed to fall asleep relatively early, woke up early as well. Had a very intense dream shortly before I woke up. It was reflecting parts of me and the things I've been watching. Nutrition - above average, feels good, enough protein, enough healthy fats. Healthy fats matter a lot to me.

Been a tiny bit ill - sneezing, rubbing my eyes, ears itching on the inside. Dust makes it worse. Been noticing a lot of dirty and dusty things around the house, ever since boys came back.

Feeling way better than I did on Fri-Sat. Honestly, it was simply unexplicable how I randomly felt so bad. Well, maybe not randomly.

I was planning a straight up light workout today. But I feel so hyped. After my first coffee I felt craving for Cannibal Corpse music that I used to listed to earlier in this short life of mine. Very hyped. Scourge of Iron is the real memorable song for me somehow. Also, I got earwax lodged deep in my right ear. Usually I manage to clear it up relatively well with just some twirled-up tissue, but today I went too hard due to the intensity of the intching in my ears and got it pushed in. Maybe it's better that way, eh? He he.

I shall restart the squat program. Week 1, Session 1 altered - 5 sets of 8 wuth 62,5%, and 67,5% for a clean single. Minimax shall be 220, and supermax 240. So, we will just do 140 today and 150 for a single. Hope it'll be okay for my connective tissue.

Played guitar and bass a bit. There's some kind of electric interference. I gotta play around with the USB ports.

Workout

A very long warmup - a lot of stuff, including a great variety of squat variations and also front rack holds

Clean (squat clean)

50 for 3 - this time it's not singles. Nice

70 - 3 singles

80 - 3 singles - okay, more or less

Squat

50 for some reps

100 for 8 technique felt okay only when I did an absolute full down squat.

120 for 5 had to stop at five because my good ol' right knee felt loose once again. That discouraged me.

What if I made some kind of balance between olympic and low back squats? Hmm.

140 for 8 reps - feeling pretty awkward, had to make pauses after 2nd and 6th reps, but they were real ATTG.

140 for 8 way better. Also ATTG, but this time I put powerlifting wraps on. I put them on like weightlifters, in one line just below the knee, but it helped so much. I only stretched the first few wraps, and the simply laid them on. It was difficult - it was almost exactly at midnight, sweating, high humidity, breathing through nose and mouth at the same time.

140 for 8 alright, feels even better, breathing is easy. Pushing with my legs and my heels as if I am on a swingset. That feels right. The straight bar path on squat does not feel right. I should really film this. I reckon if I do one more that just might be enough volume for today.

140 for 8 - nice, easy squat, moderate breathing, I forgot to press the record button correctly, so I ended up sitting down there, on the stept of the indoor porch, resting, having had an opportunity to open the door to someone who was knocking. Curious coincidence. I love things that look like coincidences, they tell us so much about human nature.

140 for 8 - pretty difficult ngl, I wrapped my knees very light and I was altering the technique all the time. But for breathing it was somehow not as difficult!

Currently, there are bonuses in Red Dead Online for the Naturalist role. I wish I could finally get that level 5 in it, I never have any patience for it. Maybe I will.

Conventional unedited video. I look pretty weird with my current hair, I'd like to note. Also almost clean shaven.

Thornbush dasher... What a name!

Song of the moment - The Lasting Dose by Crowbar. Just so we're clear, I'm only doing coffee and endorphins, hehehe. (Just so we're super clear - you get endorphin in your body from working out, it's not a drug but a hormone). Fitting for GTA Online, since I'm playing the First and Last Dose missions about funny drug addicts. Honestly that's the best writing for GTA Online they've had ever. Really feels like a story, unlike all those heists and such.
