Monday, May 15th 2023 - Squat 5 sets of 2 around 85%

 15.05.2023

Week 6, Session 2 - Squats - 85% for 5 sets of 2, working up to them, and then a "clean single" (optional) with 80%. Minimax 200, supermax 230. Or more? No, not yet. Still to shaky, considering it's high bar squat.

Day? Not too nice. It's nice now. Started with an unpleasant shock. Unimportant. Feeling drowsy, but I had a moderately sized fat and proteins type of breakfast, gave a lesson, felt a bit drowsy, had a massive №2 (says something about my digestive processes at the moment? It's important, I believe), now I'm having the new coffee. New coffee day. Tastes like robusta. Much more dry crackly beans. Much easier to overstuff the grounds chamber with it, as I did the first time. It's supposed to be arabica! What is this brand? It's something new and cheap. It's okay. It's doing what it's supposed to, or so I convince myself.

Maybe it's better if the taste is bad. So, we'll be squatting from 170 to the round 200. Should be fun. I won't be too laid back, I promise. And I hope to do some other fun things.

Workout

Warmup - some, mostly BW squats

Squat

20

70 for 8

120 for 8

150 for 5

160 - 170 - 180 - 190 - 195 - 200 for 2 very nice, high bar PR 😁

120 - 3 sets of 5 - testing upper body movement and elbow angle.

When I pull my elbows back the bar feels very secure on my back, but I realised that this turns this exercise into more of a back movement. I still manage to keep it high bar and use legs. I think I'll try to utilize more relaxed elbows down grip on squat. That'll help the angles to stay a little bit more upright.

Also, my chest has been getting stretched from squatting like that. Not the best feeling, but doesn't bother me too much.

And I should simply add some light front squats. Up to a hundred for now.

Unloaded the bar. Hanged on the belt, tried pullups. Connective tissue felt a bit unwilling to go further with them. But I wanna do more pullups soon. Maybe on Wednesday. Should be nice.

And I managed to finish my workout before midnight. Feels good!

Yesterday I finished installing The Sims 3 again. Binged a little on it. My gameplay is very different now. I'm playing in a user-made town called Everglade. Very large, was very empty at first, but then random families started moving in. I couldn't figure out how to change the language, until I looked it up and did so in the windows registry. It required one line to be changed. Curious. But then I had to manually go and change all the Cyrillic-named sims in game - the random ones, cause the english verrsion does not support Russian font somehow.

It's fun. This time I changed the whole premise and gave all sims a short life, so now I'm rushing around trying to help them mate, so they don't die out and have to be repopulated with more random people. Only created a couple sims myself. Didn't bother too much. I still have my first ever save file somewhere. It'd be fun to move the sims from that save file into this town again. Hilarious, in fact.

Did some rubber pulls for pecs. Gotta do some extra rehab...

Has it become a habit for me to upload a video on every post?

It's late now. Binging on Sims 3 again. Installed a "story progression" mod - the town got populated even more.
