January 4th, Wednesday - Old me is back somehow, drumming, lotsa fun
04.01.2023
Nice day. Dark dreams. Slept hard, woke up late, deecent medium-sized breakfast, mood above average, thankfully. Wanna play drums today for the first time in a while. I used to be upset at my lack of playing.
It's 8 PM, and I finished my first coffee. Played a lot of FO4 yesterday. Before yesterday I managed to finally beat that quest where you take over the GNN in Sim Settlements 2. It was very hard - I kept exploding because I didn't use the right console command to break through the bug. Before the battle, you have an option to wait til the night and there's a loading screen. If you use it - you get locked, can't even enter the main menu. Use have to use the console command - SetStage SS2C2_Sirick_MQ22 150, then the same but with 160 when you're in the screen (quickly). Then you can break through this bug.
It was fun. Even at level 140 Survival makes it challenging. Possibly even more challenging, because some of the enemies scale with your level while you don't become that much more powerful? It really needed a more balanced system. New Vegas system was pretty balanced. Sure, you end up becoming overpowered anyway, but at least there's a level cap. JSawyer mod makes it even more fair.
The settlement attacks in SimSettlements 2 are pretty severe. It feels like there's 40 or more gunners every time. Luckly, I'm not doing it all alone, cause I got an epic minutemen squad with Fallout Commander. And they even level up and become more powerful! I installed a mod for Fallout commander to replace the Children of Atom (since they're not available for me) with the Mechanist Robots. They're pretty buggy, but fun. I also installed a "randomized mechanist robots" mod to make the enemies have various parts, and I tell you - that is one difficulty jump. It would have been some real struggle to actually play with this mod through the Automatron DLC. Cause some of them get nukes, and I got nuked once by a scrap sentry bot already. Funny. Those weapons are supposed to be just for the player to use. It's lovely how much harder the game can be if you mod it. Don't developers understand that the hard games are fun? I loved playing Super Mario 3 on my GBA. I tell you, it was a really hard game, it required a lot of your reflexes to be used. Then my friend wiped my save game when I beat it for the first time 😂 Classic tale.
Workout
Very little warming up, just a set of romanian with my ez bar
70 - 120 - 160 for 5 - nice. Decided to load the plates in descending order today.
200 for 5
220 for 5 surprisingly easy. Feels good. Not generating enough effort though, that's cause it's the first technically working set.
230 for 4 nice. Even if I run out of energy - I must try to get all five working sets. If my supposed max is 300, then I should be doing 240 today. Initial plan was to climb up the weight.
232,8 for 4
235 for 4 great, banging my head, in the mood, in the tunnel. This is the life, this is me, I am here, I've been gone too long, now I'm back again in all my God-given power. I've been depriving myself of this blessing for too long for ephemerial delusional reason. God blees, Halleluja! For this and for everything.
238,8 for 3 - a little messup, only to be expected, seeing how I haven't been quite in shape for these exact numbers. The headphone wire got caught between the bar and my thigh, making it a little awkward. Not a big deal, but it is a little mistake. Decided to try this set again.
238,8 for 3 again. Duped by the song that went into a lyrical part xD Well, there's a chance I couldn't have been able to do the 4th either way. What if you don't want those mellow lyrical parts? Hmm. Well, there's gotta be at least one in the album. He he.
Did some lovely drumming (at the start). Something formed in my mind and I feel so much more free around the kit. I feel like I can come up with new grooves now. Which I did! It was awesome. It was basic, but sort of complicated. Not "choppy" if, you will, but I think not everyone would have the energy to play it immediately. It was strict enough. I put on my monitor headphones and amped up the metronome.
Been trying to register a second steam account. It's been bad, not going very well. Such a shame. There's some kind of captcha "mistake". Well, let them be doomed by their own hand, I say. None of my money they shall receive - at least now. It's mere entertainment I'm seeking, after all. I think originally I wanted to buy some points for FO4 to buy some more of that silly micro-dlc. Like the nostalgic heavy incinerator. I don't have it in FO4! To be fair, those micro DLCs are just poorly rehashed mods, some done with real low quality, like Nuka-Cola branded clothing mod. It looks awful. What do you know.
Oh man, I'm so gonna enjoy playing Fallouts today. Thinking of doing FO76. Can you believe I still haven't played those expeditions? He he he. I should be more laid back.
