Wednesday 16th, November of Twenty-22 - Back to heavy DLs quite randomly

 15.11.2022

Nice day. Feeling alright. Slept little, woke up went somewhere and back, happy that I managed to do it today, slept some more. Been enjoying spending time outside.
Life is like a very interactive video game 😆 You can do anything. I'm planning to do the main quest soon. Woke up, worked, had one nice coffee, now I'm having a second one. The taste is super nice, it's Lavazza gold brand. But it's very strong. Alright.

Having my third coffee - decided to make a half ot it with cheap, and half with the new one. Tastes nice. Listening to some old school death metal. Iniquity - Tranquil Seizure

Yesterday I finished the Automatron DLC in my current survival playthrough of Fallout 4. I made it too easy for myself by wearing power armor and bringing Splattercannon :( Well, I enjoyed it in a good enough manner. The final fight was so much more underwhelming compared to the first time I did it. I forgot you can sneak up on her? Such a silly DLC. They should have made it about 30% longer, quest-wise. That would have been so much better.

Today I'm supposed to deadlift. I've been wearing my boots loosely. I think that's helped the circulation in my feet and calves. It started snowing, so running is kind of out of the question for two reasons - snow and cold air. Perhaps I could do another type of cardio and just jump around violently for a while. That could be good.

It's 7 o'clock. What am I gonna be lifting today?

I did sets of 8 again. The plan is too find the balance between load and saving energy. Balanced enough to have enough energy to be excited about everything I have to do tomorrow. 4 sets of 5 with 77.5 percent. Think I'll use 270 as my supposed max... That is so damn lazy. It's not enough. So, I think my sets will be going from 210 to 230. It won't be too easy at all! And definitely not hard either.

Workout

All around warmup - more attention to lower body

Deadlift

50 - 100 - 140 - 190 for 5 - put straps on 140, cause my skin's been cracking

210 for 5 pretty lame, switched from toes out to parallel due to random knee strain. Thankfully it worked.

220 for 5 way better, a rep for every breath. That helps a lot more than you think. Plus I was actually warmed up after 210. Got music, but no camera. Camera helps a lot as well. Cause you can think of what you did and concentrate your attention on it.

225 for 5 nice and easy, kind of a stiff leg technique tho.

Caffeine in combination with lifting strain makes me hate everything I see (almost). How weird. Hey, at least I'm enjoying the workout a lot.

230 for 5 nice, RPE 9 tho. First four reps were one per breath, I felt it was a little too hard, so I took a long break standing over the bar, bent over, puller the last rep, my hams jerked but I manged to lock it out alright. I need a lot more heavy squats I want good deadlift. Or at least something. God help me!

190 for 1 hook grip as I racked it to unload it faster. Skin feels alright. I'm coming off the "caffeine madness", ha ha. Caffeine pills give you even more of that, cause of how concentrated they are. I reckon it's better to take a pill and mix it into a drink that got something slowly digestible in it, if you wanna be taking pills and stuff.

You know, I sometimes feel like there are different ways to bulk. There's the crazy stuffing your mouth kind of bulking that teenagers like to do and there's the disciplined "just sticking to your diet" (which does not have to be extreme) kind of bulk. Funny, I'm the kind of guy for whom it's just too easy to lose weight. When i was in a somewhat of a depressed state my lifting was alright, and I had abs and looked great, but I just didn't feel great. (in 2019)

This summer my weight - with food inside - reached up to 114 kgs. Isn't that cool?

Right now I'm working on something else. I've reached satisfaction with my strength for the first tiem ever in my life. I know how to lift and develop myself. It's time I paid attention to other things that matter, including being able to use your body in a widest variety of ways.

I've become such an easy walker. I'm so happy with this. I used to be way lazier very recently. Addicted to feeling "perfect". That's dumb.
