November 9th, Wednesday - Nice DL with lower volume, another grip PR
09.11.2022
Nice day. Did some walking yesterday, my quads were lactic. Isn't it great how I can do it by just walking at high speeds? And trust me, those are some high speeds. I must've walked close to 10 kms doing this so far. Still have some conventional bureaucracy to deal with.
I was both hoping and not to do this today, but I was told to come tomorrow. Cause I wanted to have a nice workout. Fell asleep relatively early yesterday. My bed keeps being uneven. It can be solved by sleeping on two pillows. Woke up, had a slightly-above-moderate breakfast, went back to sleep, slept until 4 PM, felt nice, watched some intense dreams, woke up and now I'm having my cheap coffee. It's okay, it's at least 4/10 if brewed correctly, he he. Gonna do some DLs today. Not too hard, I wanna feel good acceleration. Maybe I'll do a ladder of sets of 8. Last week I was only really getting back into shape a little bit. Not really sure what to do today NGL. Can't heavy a really heavy weight for a variety of reasons. Thinking of 180-185 for sets of 8. I have actually done it three weeks ago, haven't I? All overhand... That was a nice workout. Last week I managed to have some nice moments too.
I really wanna play Fallout 4. Thinking I just might have to remove all electrical systems from my Sanctuary build if I wanna fix the municipal power grid bug in SimSettlements. That'll be fun.
6 PM. Having my second coffee. 18:19. Having a first sip of it. Weird.
Coffee's making me crankier. Like, I go to reddit and it's the most awful place on the internet. 90% of the post are very, vary bad. Ha ha. Coffee. Quora used to be the worst place. I'm glad I don't go there as often anymore. Sometimes you just wanna scroll through entertaining things for a while. Find an interesting thing to think about.
Almost 7. Gonna go soon. It's gonna be a nice short workout.
Workout
Warmup - really extensive, feeling energetic.
Deadlift
50 for 8
100 for 8
140 for 4 and 160 for 4 - my "short deadlift warmup".
Took a longer break
180 for 8 super easy, AND I was able to keep my arms straight! It's important cause I was doing it overhand.
185 for 8 - nice, very confident, keeping arms straight. Not all reps are full ofc, but they're all above the knee, which is good enough. Of course, it's possible to overdo that kind of laziness. PR+5 kgs :D
190 for 8 - nice, PR+10 kgs. I did reps more fully, put on some Armored Saint, was accelerating harder, thus using up more energy. Waited for a while before the last rep, but did it well, and put it forawrd onto the hooks, which was harder than putting it down. Skin on my fingertips is going, but it's alright. Didn't have to wait before unloading the bar. Got it down to 50 kgs and now I wonder what to do. 20:33
Bent over rows
50 - 2 sets of 15 - a little too light for my lats, only feeling my forearms and bicep work xD I do have a tag called "rows" and I'm finally gonna use for the first time in a long while.
Now it's 9 PM. I wanna do at least a tiny bit more. Hm.
Squats - very careful, feeling my joints
5 - 10 - 15 - 15
I noticed a good way to help my joints. Toes out, medium-narrow stance, and actually pronate the calves, as if trying to turn the feet inside. Might not be the best choice, but it allows me to stay on my heels.
Played Fallout 4. Awesome, continuing Sim Settlements, crashed. Well, I only lost about 10 minutes of progress. Makes Survival mode more fun, he he.
There's this little channel I found on youtube a while ago. This guy is cool. I wish I could solo like him! Here's some of his actual releases. Too bad he doesn't have a singer. STill very nice. Maybe it's better to specialize in one thing, eh? He he, not really. Still good tho.
Random picture of the day - red-backed shrike (Lanius collurio) - Very interesting bird!
