Monday, October 31st - Rehab workout, playing Fallout 4

 31.10.2022

Nice day. Feeling a little ill. Sleeping too much. Woke up late, worked, had my micro breakfast with coffee right away. Gonna keep it light and satisfying today. Tomorrow I'm gonna go somewhere.

Called that place where I was gonna go. They told me they ain't doing what I want right now. I figured another way and created an application online.

Having my second coffee. I guess I have a free-er day tomorrow. That's good, cause I'm still frickin ill. A little. My neck is stiff cause I slept on my side again, before yesterday. I wonder why that happens.

I've been thinking. What about "rational thinking" and going where I wanna go? What about my long lost father?

I gotta go. Can't not go. It's a struggle. I know I'll wanna damn everything to hell and leave if I go. Animal nature. It's a challenge. Take part in the future. Earn your glory. Through the fire and flames.

Did I mention I deleted Skyrim after I screwed up my mod load order? Well, I did. Now I wanna play Fallout 4. This game helped in my dark time. And watching a variety of cool content creators, specifically Alchestbreach and nostalgic memories of Someguy2000. Oh, I so wish for Someguy2000 to come back. God, send him some of that creative energy that he maniftested in the past, oh please! Let him come back to us.

Of course, Someguy2000's followers aren't the, um, safest of people. They love chaos and hooliganism, it's not Someguy2000's fault.

Enjoying playing mah scraggly Doomstick. Really grooving right now. My little brother keeps asking me to let him play Minecraft as I keep asking him how various riffs sound. My wrist endurance has gotten a little worse. Playing simple ricking grooves. Had to walk with him to school and back to get his backpack. Nice, managed to do some cardio. And now it's exactly 10 PM. Wow. I'm gonna have my third coffee. Cause I want to. I can't believe I just started to have three coffees instead of two all of a sudden, and now I keep crawing more after two coffees. And my sleep is screwed up. Oh well. I wish there was a way to make it smaller. I'll try - I'll use 20 grams instead of 22 in my moka pot.

Man, I so wanna play Fallout 4 tonight. Somehow, Fallout 4 feels so much "heavier" than Fallout 76. Maybe cause it demands your attention a lot. And you're forced to move slower in this game.

Now it's even later. I don't have to go anywhere tomorrow. Maybe not for a long time, cause I'm a slow dumbass. Well, it's the process. Experience is to be earned.

Workout

All around light warmup, not very intensive.

You know, yesterday I realised that "butt wink" on squat might not really be a problem. I mean, what is so problematic about it? If it's a problem, then why isn't upper body curve on DLs a problem? After all, your body is designed to move, not to be cement. So, I'm thinking I should always try to do the deep bounce-type squat, and now bother about butt wink, cause my torso is generally very stiff.

Doing my warmups, my left arm feels like it's gotten much more stiff, doesn't rotate externally as well anymore. I think this has to be connected to my benching.

L-flies with 2 kg dumbbells - 2 sets

Rubber l-flys (not flies) - 3 sets

Overhead press

2 kg dumbbells - 2 sets of 25 reps

6 kg dumbbells - 2 sets of 15

Pushups

15 wall pushups - left arms hurting just a tiny bit

2 sets of 15 normal - defo gotta abstain from heavy weights for a while, and then it'll heal. But I must lift light, not stop. That's the way.

Well, I feel like I've done enough for my upper body. I dread to imagine putting a bar on my back with how frail my tissues feel. Gonna do barbellless squats then.

Squat

2 sets of 15 reps - making them shorter

On the third set I became frustrated with random hip pain, almost to a hysterical degree, clutching my silly face in my hands. I better calm down.

One leg raises leaning on the wall - 15 reps

Bent over kickbacks

3 sets of 15 reps each leg, adding some torso rotation

That's it. Actually started playing Fallout 4! Can't for the life of me remember what I was last doing. I guess managing my inventory, ha ha. Got a free backpack - that's nice.

Played for a while. Finished one quest. It's been almost exactly six months since I last played it. Wanna finish Sim Settlements. It used to be just a mayor simulator mod - like Sim City - but then the developer added a lot of cool quests and adventures. He still makes letsplay videos, they keep popping up in my youtube feed. I randomly installed a terminator mod and it's been super scary, especially cause I keep playing on Survival mode (with fast travel between settlements enabled). TBH a smarted move would be to enable savegames as well, that'd save me a lot of time if my focus was actually to progress in the game. I was surprised to realise I was level 82... Too powerful. But still getting oneshotted by some enemies, he he.
Only crashed two times. Really enjoying the Manwell rifles, both of them. There's something special about the rifle. Aesthetically speaking. Elegant.
