October 12th, Wednesday - Still ill, light workout, G310 done
12.10.2022
Still a bit ill. I was hoping to be mostly healthy by today, but alas. Coughing, sneezing, sore throat, dizzy, a little weakened. Managed to have a decent breakfast. That's good. Rested for a while. Now having coffee. Wondering what kind of workout I'll be able to do today. A short one, probably. Watching House season 1. Enough energy to stand in front of my PC. Sitting now hurts my back and stomach. Funny. Cause we ain't meant to sit the way we do.
I used to play a lot with the europeans and americans, mostly in ESO. There was some casual racism towards me back then even. Sometimes I let it slide - when it was a friend of a friend, - sometimes I didn't. I can say I like europeans way less now. Sad. Politics shit. Everybody's getting brainwashed. What can you say. No ratio, just emotions.
The issue with my teeth - that I used to have a few years ago - has returned. My teeth feel uncomfortable in my mouth. And they taste bad. Brushing my teeth helps. It's not a dental issue, it has to be a nerve issue, cause I keep clenching my jaws.
Having my second coffee. Feels very good. Tense.
---
Almost 10. Been doing more guitar work. Painted a small spot on the neck and reassembled the body. Only soldering left. IIRC it's simple and I have pics. I sure did take too long.
Not sure how I'm gonna work out. I guess going down to the garage it out of question. Squats!
Workout
Some all-around warmup
Squat
3 sets of 15 - BW
16 kg goblet squat - 2 sets of 15. Very hard for cardio and breathing. Perhaps it is bronchitis? Felt some nice leg pump on the second set.
32 kg goblet squat for 15, taking small breaks after every 5 reps. Feels good, hard for cardio.
I now have more respect for what I do in the gym. I used to think I have poor cardio and endurance, but now, after my spiritual journey and this little illness I know that my overall endurance (not just strength endurance!) as well as day-by-day endurance and recovery capability were - and are, to a degree, considering my current illness - pretty decent.
Heh, that's a long sentence. I feel great now. Endorphins rushing. Must not open the window! I'm pretty hot.
I miss my hair. I just lost it. I lost "it" and I lost my hair. Ha ha. Look like my old younger self. Wanna grow out my mustache for some reason. It can turn into a proper walrus.
Overhead press
6+6 kg dumbbells - 3 sets of 15
I thought of doing something heavier, but I came to adhere to my philosophy or perfect balance between minimum input and maximum output. For that reason I only really need to keep my lifting nerve awake rather than stimulate it - for am I still strong and so far my illness hasn't been severe enough to actually make me lose large amounts of results.
Another cumbersome long sentence. He he he.
Well, nice workout today. 23:32.
I think now I'm gonna try and solder the pickups and pots in my G310. Wish me luck!
---
The soldering was quite a struggle. But I think I managed to learn a few tricks and connected the pickups. I reassembled the G310 almost completely, wiped the fretboard with some lemon and now I'm finally taking a break. There's so many unpainted/chipped spots. Well, you can just ignore them rather easily - they're small. The quitar is very good looking if you don't see the small things. So that's something.
---
Well, it's done. Put on the old Mammoths. It works! But the neck pickups doesn't. Another quest, eh? Ha ha.
The secret might be hidden in the tone pots. But it is very late again. I placed them wrong - I placed the volume pots on top of each other. There's so much to learn!
