June 9th, Saturday - Nice DL

 09.07.2022

Weird day. Has been sleeping so much for the second day in a row. Before yesterday I impulsively took 4 pills of melatonin (as opposed to the maximum of 2). It probably stayed in my system for a while. Thankfully, all the repeatable quests I needed to do I did well.

Last week was a pretty crazy week. God heard my prayers and helped get rid of something that has been bothering for a while. Sadly, those things tend to come back, but so far they haven't, or I haven't let em.

It was an exhausing week. Only the days on which I did heavy DL and PP were alright. I pretty much forgot about recording my song. Well, I did stop after recording the hardest part. I didn't expect myself to take less than a hundred takes to record it, but I guess I did get better at guitar compared to 2021.

Today I slept for a few hours - very deep sleep, worked some, had an okay breakfast, didn't really feel sleepy for an hour then I got knocked out again. Very, very deep sleep. Fathomless, bottomless, measureless, profound, abysmal, unplumbed, boundless, deep, horizonless, illimitable sleep. 😁

I feels good. I'd rather sleep for 12 hours a day every day regardless of anything. Too bad I'm not the kinda person who naturally wants to sleep! I'm still a lot like a little kid in that regard. Even in the army my body didn't want to sleep, while my mind did. Curious, isn't it?

The army could use a lot of fixing-upping. Especially further away from Moscow. Maybe it's better these days. It was fun while I could function well. But I didn't know I wasn't quite fit to serve. Funny stuff. I think I might have been mentally unbalanced. Like a horse, not a donkey. A horse you can ride till it dies. A donkey is known for being stubborn, cause it's smarter than a horse and doesn't trust humans to take care of it. Be a donkey, not a horse, my friend. Donkeys are very aggressive too, you know. They can defend farm animals from dogs and wolves. They can, that is.

When you look at a horse you just see a massive pile of meat. Isn't it majestic? I love meat, live or edible.

Since it's been so many hours since my breakfast I had a small snack of leftover pasta and sum raisins. Feels good. Having coffee. 8:45 PM. Of course it's gonna take more time to digest this way. I like to take my time. But there's always an "extra" that you take. Gotta cut this "extra time" off of my preworkout time.

One hour later. Apparently a coffe takes a whole hour. Funny. I want one more... Should I? Yes. I think I do. Then I'll start my warmup right after I'm finished with it. I only have 4 working sets, as per usual.
Might wanna play guitar tonight.

I was thinking. What if I go easy on myself? 190 is, after all, 67% of 280. What if I did 170 for 12 and then 190? Would be very easy, wouldn't it? And then I'd have more energy for the heavier singles. Hmmm... I'll just have to remember that 170 is very easy, eh? Ha ha. I'd like to make 230 an easy weight for myself. And 230 is 82% of my actual max. Not supposed to be light!

"The art of making heavy weights light". That's what strength development is about. You have to make them light before you can struggle to lift a weight that is actually heavy. Effort. That is the key. You take a light weight and you put more effeort into lifting it than you would normally. That's how you make it even lighter! Suprising stuff. But it is the method. That is not only how you grow, but how you develop the skill of lifting.

Wanna play FO76 tonight. I think I'll finally continue the BoS questline. I think I unknowingly got of the special BoS armor unlocked as I was doing the daily missions. Maybe I'll try to make it. That stuff takes weeks, even for poorly optimized legendary effects. I do get lucky with it though, I think the chances to get good effects on special armor (the one that you can't trade with other players) are increased.
I like FO76 because it feels like a living worlds. Something's happening all the time, for one reason or another. It's either in the lore or in game mechanics. Often fantastical and unrealistic, but so much fun, so much room for imagination.

Workout

Deadlift

Some warmup in my room. This time not hittinh my ass on the floor 😁

20-60-100-150 for 8 - initial quick warmup

170 for 12 - nice. A little messy, but overall - very good. Moved my right hand to the side by 0.5 cms, cause I think I grip it unevenly. Accidentally bounced one rep but made sure to put it down and do it right 😁 Liver did not hurt!

190 for 12 very nice. Speedy reps, not locking out fully, making sure to drop the gently but freely. In the later reps, of course, I did fuller lockouts. The liver DID hurt 🤣 this time. I was feeling so lazy I was contempltaing to finish the workout, thinking this was enough. But no, I came to conclude that I just need some more time to recover the muscle creatine. It's close to midnight.

210 for 1 - hilarious, cause one side had 10 kilos less (I forgot to put it on, it was supposed to be 220)

240 for 1 - nice and smooth, great acceleration. This time I inhaled and kept inhaling into my guts even before I tied up the straps, so I didn't have to tighter my body from a bent over position. That was great. Need to do it like this more!

Some time later

A little bit of hanging with support rubber, doing "initial" pullups - pulling the shoulders down, but arms are straight.
Some time later - Hanging knee raises - 2 sets of 15, lats and scapulas engaged

Apparently rain DOES disrupt 4G signal. I only guessed it, not I looked it up. Even high-pitched sound can do it.

Random pic of the day - you know, it's weird. but I was getting a lot of human pictures, rather than ISS photos or geograph.co.uk pic. I love this little roulette. So incredibly stimulating to my brain 💀
