July 2nd, Saturday - Decent DL session
02.07.2022
Nice day. Very nice. I've been so looking forawrd to it. Did not sleep. Slept for around 5 hours during the day. Weird. Felt a little sleepy, but then it went away. Had an okay breakfast in the morning. I forgot what it's like to roast meat with spice. Today I randomly added some spice to meat it smelled pretty good. The taste was okay. I overcooked it. I like to flip porkchops multiple times. Solidifies the water inside. Too thick though. Hmm.
Having a second coffee. Feels okay. Hopding to have a nice DL. It's already 8 PM 🤪
Played FO76 way too much. I wouldn't have done it if it wasn't for the daily mission, whatever you call them. You're supposed to do them with a team, but I enjoy doing it on my own. ESO is a much more complex game than FO76, but it always feels like there is not enough challenging single player content. Only two silly arenas that you can grind and learn by heart. FO76 is simples, and canbe more unbalanced because of it. The faily mission consisted of going into a Watoga Raider Arena and reestablishing radio connection. There were double mutated Super Mutants - the had cloaking as well as armor penetration (huge damage). Or maybe they didn't, they had "explode on death". Which means melee build was just a bad choice. And I was sort of palying a glass cannon, relying on VATS. But you can't target invisible (cloaked) evemies with VATS. And even though I had dense armor (against explosion) I died so many times. Took me 16 minutes to do the first one. I was playing with a herbivore melee build. It's good, cause it can have crits and be versatile. Not fully optimized for max dmg, however. Playing a carnivore is super bothersome, cause you have to go hunting and stuff.
Then I tried changing into a tankier (Overeaters and Sentinels) build. It was only, like, 40% more tanky. Kept getting rekt. Sneaked (snuck) around. "Snuck" should be a real word, he he. Boring and slow that way. Don't wanna play with guns though. Not for a while, anyway. I wish there was a double XP weekend.
Mothman Equinox inspires me so much. I listed to all the inane healthen obscurantism and that sounds so much like metal lyrics. Just makes me wanna scream and sing when I play that event. Gets boring quickly, to be fair. You know, I'd like to record myself playing. It'd be epic. Memory. No space on hard drive or online, ha ha.
Having a lot of fun with image generators, and then upscaling the pics for free. I think I can generate a cool album cover that way. It's 2022, baby.
Workout
Deadlift
Short warmup in the room. Hit my left buttock as I tried to lie down with no hands 😁
60-100-150 for 8 very quickly. Wore straps on 150 to avoid the stiffening of the middle finger on the left
Then break - about 10+ minutes
180 for 12 really easy for muscle, breathing - a little harder. Before I started to lift I realised how similar exercise is to som many other things in life. You do something to your body and get a massive load of pleasure in return. Isn't it weird? lol
Longer break, fiddled with chalk (tried to stuff some of it into an old shaker dispenser, but realised I might waste more of it this way). Also, I bought some liquid chalk, wanna try it now.
180 for 12 - nice, but this set was messy. Despite having collars on the bar, the plates slid to the right side, so I spent first three reps fixing this. Then I think I might have lost count and either dropped or gained one rep. The set took quite a while because of that. Liver didn't hurt after it though, unlike after the first set.
I'm going to use my new dumbbell collars now. And I'll measure them on my kitchen scales! I only got a couple of explosive "clean reps" to do, so my fast-creatine muscle fibers can have more attention dedicated to them.
203 for 1 - easy explosive rep. Tore my skin a tiny bit, despite straps. Did I mention my straps are made of and old belt, very thick, unlike any normal straps? Maybe that helps me keep my grip a bit stronger, not letting the straps pull on my wrists.
233 for 1 - not as easy, but okay, smooth, tore the callus a bit more, feels nice.
You know, I can admit I am an impulsive fool and I occasionally take Nitroglycerin during a workout, according to simple logic I accidentally developed 8 years ago. This logic doesn't hold up, Just because your blood gets thinner doesn't mean you get stronger. Your blood pressure lowers if you do it. And I know with my tiny brain that you need high pressure to lift, rather than low. *sigh* I shan't do it anymore, just like I dropped the tonsillitis-inducing ammonia sniffing habit.
I still have to unload the bar.
Overall - really nice workout, everythig's easy

Curious AI Art Galore - and some funny upscaled images, too!
and speedy enough. Nice super quick warmup, my endurance is better. Strange how it's okay even though I added another micro workout yesterday and had coffee. And I slept for less than 5 hours, and barely spent any time lying down either. (I don't really sit, just fyi)
Shoes. I'd like to get better shoes. I reckon large-sized military ones should be okay. Hmm. My old dress boots are comfy, but almost ruined. Need wide shoes. I do. Been watching and relating to Squat University videos too much. Ever since I was a kid I noticed how ridiculous almost all shoes are. I saw people with horrendous bunious. That's bad stuff. I always had flipper-style feet, he he.
Put the plates away. Some time later I listened to Holy Diver and really wanted to play. Trying to record., It feels great. But I realise I'm out of "groove juice" in by brain. CNS spent it on DLs, concentrating stuff. Music is a lot like working out, he he. Imagine making a powerlifting prograsm and having to account for CNS music fatigue. Hilarious! Gotta try and wipe my strings next time. They feels so greasy today.
