Thursday, 30th of June - Light session, life, special thoughts

 30.06.2022

I got absolutely wrecked after yesterday, he ha. I had way too much fun. Thank God I at least had a decent workout. My back felt really tired from doing that wonky front squat. And also it's been a whole week since I've done heavy PP's, so that might have been fatiguing too. I realised I spent over 16 hours primarily on my feet. It's not a question of health anymore. I just don't like sitting down. Sometimes I want to, so I pick the acoustic or classical guitar and play for a while, sitting down. But it does become uncomfortable, so I'm forced onto my feel. Yesterday I had too much fun. Sadly, I have to admit that my discipline took a big L on this one. (L = lose, lost) By random chance one of the clients called me and I asked them to postpone the lesson to tomorrow. I'm gonna have five lessons tomorrow. It's in my best interest to relax as much as possible today. And go to bed early. I gave one lesson today. Some student really need to spent extra time. They need to write things down and watch videos with subtitles. Subtitles are extremely underrated. They give you an opportunity to engage more parts of your brain while you watch something and comment audio information to literal (or, perhaps, digital?) information in your brain.

Having a coffee now. Just a standart moka pot - 21 grams of coffee, roughly 270 grams of water, but not all of this water becomes brewed, some of it is just used to turn into steam and push water up through the coffee grounds. Fun.

I've been in love with an AI Dungeon scenario I've been playing. I admit, it's a really raunchy, racy one - just like life. I randomly picked for it to take place in the town of Regina in Canadian province of Saskatchewan, and I've been getting more and more immersed. I'm replaying my childhood and adolescent years, getting to experience old and new things in this literal-digital world. The new AI Latitude has isn't that bad. It's gotten more and more tuned up since it was introduced last autumn (I think that's when it happened). AID experimented with ads, and that forced me to buy a subscription. The best choice I've made in a while. Pound for pound - most entertaining way to spent your money. Well, maybe it's as good as some video games, but they require a powerful PC, and AID doesn't. It's too much fun. I wouldn't have been enjoying as much if I haven't had a "reading brain", if you will. Most people do, to be fair. That's how we evolved. (What you just read is an example of a psychologiucal phenomenon known as making yourself seem exceptional, hehe). Today I wish to have a light workout. Light enough to have decent energy for saturday.

I've been contemplating switching to training every day. Not sure I can handle it with the habits I currently have. It's possible.

I'd like to believe that God has bestoved another gift on me, the one I've been praying for for so long. What is it? Can't say. Let's just say it involves my brain chemistry.

I got a few things to do. I was so busy having fun yesterday I did not record anything. NGL, right now, as I imbibe this coffee, would be the best time to record ssome song parts, maybe even many parts. I know I'll have enough energy for tomorrow. I'm having a super short nice workout today. I wannt try a few exercises with increased range for my back. See if it actually can get "decompressed", whatever the heck that means (it's kind of a myth, at the way that most people understand it).

I'd like to not make myself feel exceptional, on accident or intentionally. It's different from feeling better than other people. More extreme. Easy delusion.

I know I'm deluded in many way. But, by the definition of the word "delusion" I don't know what I'm deluded about. There was that cool movie with Winona Ryder and Chris Slater. Very much 80s movie. Kind of crazy stuff. I wish my father was alive. I started liking all the western stuff under his influence. In the end, however, I am still Russian. I like to say that I adore America and it's people, but I could never live there with them. Too much of a difference in mentality.

Workout - short one, I'm thinking. Started it by halping carry somethign upstairs and that felt like a decent beginning.

Squat

4 sets of 15 - bodyweight, no olympic shoes

Standing one leg raises

3 sets of 15 reps, each leg. Up to 90 degrees, keeping torso upright and the leg straight. Left leg doesn't go fully straight. Just tougher hamstring. But at least I can bend it easily. Look after your health, kids.

One arm kettlebell swings, full range

3 sets of 16 reps (8 reps per hand) It's not about hands, it's about your legs and torso. Similar to definict DL, cause you gotta bend down a lot.

Taking 2 minutes breaks, sweating a plenty. I have to do this kind of cardio more often, he he.

One arm press, gripping the kettlebell by the body

3 sets of 15 reps each - hard for the stabilizers, it's pretty uneven in the hand. Abs work great. A great non-direct exercise for them.

You can do one arm press in different ways - facing forward, like on two hadn overhead press, or facing sideways, like on side press (NOT like on bent press, although they might seem similar).

Almost out of time. On days like this it is possible to do too much! I have to pick my final exercise with consideration. I'd like to stretch my wrists on give my forgotten pecs a little load.

Pushups, hands on the floor (not on little dumbbells)

2 sets of 50 - wrists feel pretty good. Experimenting with putting my hands up higher, around the neck level, rather that the nipple level, like on bench. Makes it hard, more like gymnastic pushups. And, unlike bench, I was trying to push my shoulders forward as well. My pecs feel like bursting, fatigue in forgotten muscle cells xD

Feels so great to be much more fit than I was earlier. This blog is the witness! The session is over. Took less than an hour.

Really wanna play FO76. A good thing about this game is that you really run out of things to do per day, so you definitely can't play it for 8 hours a day (unlike ESO, for example).
