April 16th, Saturday - Crazy PP, very random pic, jam, a stream o' consciousness

 16.04.2022

Man, I'm kinda of a mess. "Second day syndrome" must've hit me hard. No energy yesterday. Today is way better, of course. Today I had really nice dreams in my sleep. Feels great. I'd like to believe that when I'm flying in my dreams I am indeed growing. And the dreams were a little bit tense, too - so there was an element of danger as well! Ha ha.

The indian club "swings" - the way I've done em they weren't really swing tbh - I think they must've hurt my wrist a bit more than I'd like, so when I tried playing guitar today it turned out immensely clumsy. BUT it also might be due to my CNS, cause I've been feeling groggy and drowsy yesterday and a now a little bit as well. Is that all because of DL, or because I pushed myself ever so slightly too far on thursday? On thursday I "distracted" myself too much, too hard. What does that mean? I can't tell you. But trust, it's not what you think. Just statistically speaking - you can't guess the weird things that I do, not matter how you try. It's possible to do things with low chance, but improbable. It's a word people don't really know about. People tend to believe that anything that's possible is highly likely, but instead it's most likely improbable - in other words, it might as well be impossible. Then again, it doesn't really agree with the school of thought that I relate myself too. So many things that were improbable did happen. I really oughta study statistics more. It can be mind blowing. Like the youtube videos, you know, where they talk about that british couple that accidentally killed their kids, and they convinced the court that they were doing it intentionally with very bad statistics. I think "answers with joe" channel covered it, and another channel that I like... one of the "vsauce" channels. That other guy, in the baseball cap - who is not Michael from vsauce - is a smart guy too. Michael from vsauce never really satisfied me, I feel like he's intentionally leaving out a lot of information from his videos to make it more "accessible".

Another fun thing - if a trolley is made of two separate platforms, you can try to drift it by changling the direction as it passes the turn, thus splitting the trolley along two tracks and possibly not running any people over. You know, "the trolley problem". Just seen a short video where someone tried doing it with a toy train. I wish there was a game like GTA where you could play as a professional train driver. Just an open world game with freedom of choice, of what you want to do. I only really like open world games. In fact, let's take a look at my Steam and see if I have any games whatsoever that aren't open world (that I didn't buy by mistake).

Well, there's plenty of games that I did play but they aren't "my" games. Like Half-Life - very cool, played it with a touchpad a great long time ago, ha ha.

Yeah, all the games that I really like are open world. I wish there was a game like Bannerlord that was more "third person exploratory action", if you will. Like that Outward game that I wanted to play. Couldn't play it on my old laptop, and now the developer wankers have removed from steam. Their loss! I don't wanna support people that are actively hostile to my Motherland and our people, even if they brain are filthy with shameless propanda. Are my brains filthy with propanda? Well, I read a lot of very opposing news sources and study their reasons and their proof, and I still choose to be with my people. Why? Because they - the so-called "west" - simply chose to position themselves as a threat to us, with their nuclear and anti-nuclear weapons, and military bases far away from their own borders, and lawless politics. Why wouldn't you help the "small guys" behave in accordance with the accords they agreed on? You didn't, and they misbehaved in an unforgivable way for too long. Simply too long.

Well, that's been a political text. Maybe I should censor it. But why, though? It's not like I'm calling anyone out. It's permissible to have a modicum of free speech on sites like Quora, why wouldn't it be allowed on blogspot?

Tried out new monitor headphones. They're pretty great, especially bass-wise. Just listening to bass drums in Musescore surprised me.

My playing got better - I think I recovered some capability for the moment. And it's pretty late, once again. Do I have something tomorrow? Possibly in the evening.

So, today's workout is 4 o 4, going from 112 to 128. Shall we try? Yes. Start the warmup!

Legs. Knees. They require more attention. I did something not good to my knee one week ago. Pushpresses are hard. Must wrap joints and protects them from the striking effort.

You know, I really should simplify my songwriting process... Maybe not. Maybe the only way it's ever good is when I put in a lot of effort.

Relatively soon I shall be playing drums for the song. Must warm up. The beats are all rather simple. As long as you groove - drums are great, it's up to the engineer to paint them out in a cool manner.

Workout

Starting with pushpress right away!

20 - 50 - 70

100 for 1 bad grip, then for 3 - better grip. Man, this bar is bent. Not as much as the old bar, but man, it is bent and bad for my wrists. Shame.

110 for 4 okay

115 for 4 okay

Then something happened. I'm not sure what. I loaded the plates all wrong? I loaded 120 on one side, but forgot about the other side. So, I think next I did 120 on one side and 115 on other. So, it was 117 kgs.

117 for 4 ugly but okay.
Yeah, today was very much an oldschool dumbass session. But hey, at least I had a plan. I overused wraps all over my body. I put on powerlifting wraps! That was really silly. My technique was bad. My push was bad. But thank God, in the end I did what I needed to do, even if I loaded the wrong weight.

Then I thought I loaded 122,8. But it was actually 120,3. Cause I had 122,8 on one side and 117,8 on another side. Pardon my "math", but I hope you understand. (It was actually 122,8/2 on right and 117,2/2 on left, just so we're clear, and minus the bar).

120,3 for 4 reps - first two reps. then failed third rep with the right arm, put it in the racks - which were very low - unracked it again and did two more reps.

120,3 for 4 - okay somewhat

100 for 2 for a technique check. Racked them on top

100 for 2 - taking off the top rack. Interesting sensation.

And I thought that had to be it. But I felt like doing more, after I calculated that 122,8 is 80% of more than 150. Man, I think I ought to tell myself to actually cool the heck down. My max is not 160 or 150. I should aim at 140, realistically, and even less than that if I want to achieve good technique. Finding out the unevenness was mind blowing. I was like, eh, something. Too dumbed down at the moment. How does that even happen? I should've had more food. Breakfast today sure was calorific, but mostly due to fats. Cause I fried old dried rice. Basically resuscitated it from inedible. That was something. Added my nice chili sause (passed tomatoes, chili powder, sugar, fish sauce, teriyaki sauce). A rather simple but nice sauce. Was great with nachos. We still have some nachos. I oughta prepare something for the junior acolyte. But I also need to do more work. Possibly throw away my overused old wraps. Or wash them. Nice idea. Really wash them well.

I've reached the tunnel. Great. Tunnel vision. It's sort of a high after you fatigue yourself just the right way. Only available to people who have been adapting to fatifue for years. Overflow of endorphins. And it lasts for a long time. Hmm.

Did some chores around the Order's Headquarters. Prepared some of that chinese-style pork. Made it pretty rare. Curious. Very tasty.

I wish I could play with GPT-3. Maybe in the future, eh?

Not sure if after all this I'm tired or excited. My back feels very tired for sure. Let's do some hangs!

Did some hangs on rings. Decompressed my spine a bit.

Quite some time later

Played my new used G310. Played it in E Standard. It's well set up, and it looks cool. It does have a lot of bangs and unpolished frets. I think I can polish them up.

Recorded a little jam, ha ha. What's my blog without these little jams! It actually slaps quite nicely. How should I call it?

Perhaps I could call it "License to Justify", he he. Those might or might not be not be not random words.

A random pic of the day? Would you believe me it if I told you this time I was given a really racy pic?

Well, this is art. I'll look it up!

Egon Leo Adolf Ludwig Schiele (German: [ˈeːɡɔn ˈʃiːlə] (audio speaker iconlisten); 12 June 1890 – 31 October 1918) was an Austrian Expressionist painter. A protégé of Gustav Klimt, Schiele was a major figurative painter of the early 20th century. His work is noted for its intensity and its raw sexuality, and the many self-portraits the artist produced, including nude self-portraits. The twisted body shapes and the expressive line that characterize Schiele's paintings and drawings mark the artist as an early exponent of Expressionism.

And a conventional pic - actually, I think I'll use it as a thumbnail for this post, hehe. Don't get drawn in!
