Olympic stretching

 03.03.2022

Light workout.

Squats

5 sets of 15 with jumpums (i.e. explosive, but not jumping up fully)

Jumping onto the porch from full squat - pretty hard

9 reps and 1 rep from standing position

Some shoulder warmups

Overhead press - with pauses on the chest and on top (for stretching)

37 ez bar - 2 sets of 3

Then I made it into a weird exercise - 42 kg bar, the same 37 kgs, but extra 5 kgs on one side.

42 - 4 set of 3, alternating sides every set

Time to re-learn some special olympic stretching moves, like the ones here -

I remember I used to do the one with the bar a lot (rotating). Before the army, before 2016.

Now I'm doing the rubber stretch - a rubber loop imitating a bar on my chest. I really wanna get in good shape for PP (pushpress).

It got better. Left got very nice and loose. Right - too.

Then I did rotation a-la "catching the bar in clean" with a stick, then with a 17 kg bar.

Some neck extensions with a harness.

Random pic of the day - at the start

Later at night worked on a song a tiny bit. Feels great, learned to play it, came up with a passage. I think the chorus will be made of long power chords mostly, haven't done that before.

Even later than that I was overwhelmed with inspiration.
