Feb 4-5, Fri-Sat - A Couple o Wild Days

 04.02.2022

Well, the time might claim it's wild, but it's been mostly internalized. Funny stuff happened - electricity went out, I decided to save power on the phone and turned it off with an alarm clock (not sure if it matters), and it just didn't turn on when power came back. I fiddled around with it, assuming it's the battery, took out the sim card, then decided to go to the repair shop where they just reset it with a button combo. But here's the deal - when I came home, it didn't read the sim card. In an attempt to fix it, I kept reading some guides, and I decided to do a system reset on my phone, so I copied some data and did it, and gue3ss what? It still didn't read the card. So, I had to ask members of the order for help, and spent the night somehwat worried, cause I need my phone to do repeatable quests. Ended up watching Fargo (FX series) season 2. Watched season 1 a long time ago, and just couldn't start season 2. Now I'm enjoying it, and binged for quite a while.

Woke up early, went with the members of the order to fix it (why did I need help? can't say), and managed to get it done after a while. Had to fiddle with all teh online settings, and managed to finish it. Thank God!

Then different things started happening. The situation that my order - my family - has been in is still quite turbulent. It's not good. Bad people doing bad things, threatening to do worse things. The best I can do is stay vigilant and protect my family. It's nos as easy. Thankfully, my CNS has been cooperating, and my brain has been producing oxytocin (camaraderie hormone), cause we're all sticking together, and we ain't falling apart. Maybe God is listening to my prayers!

I gotta tell you though, as a theologian and a man with long experience of religious experience - prayer can be tricky, especially if it's powerful. It may be misdirected. Don't pray for things your conscience tells you not to pray for. And you gotta have strong will to be able to hear your conscience.

Man, I've been so wanting to make music. And I have been getting plenty of ideas. Perhaps I shall start by playing around in Musescore. I recently used it to inspire one of the junior acolytes to study music with more passion and interest. Yes, that's exactly the way I'm phrasing it. I wanna put more cumbersome details in my speech. I just do. Cause this blog's secondary purpose has always been to be a nice space for my flow of consciousness to stream through powerfully. Or maybe I'm geting a nice caffeine hit, ha ha.

You know what's fun? Artflow dot ai. A great fun AI powered portrait-generating free service. So much fun. Here's some random portraits - not necessarily mine (i.e. it's not necessarily me who typed in the inputs). The movie star guy looks a lot like the actor from "Rebel without a cause", James Dean. And Zendaya seems to be trending. "John Johnson" looks so much like Matthew Broderick. And the other guys remind me of some actors too. Funny how I know so much tv/movie trivia even though I don't spend too much time watching it.

Wow, so much stuff without training. Lame! Ha ha.
I'm not planning to follow the heavy program today. Due to all these circumstances, I feel like I need to preserve energy. So, today we're having a medium-light workout that'll help me accumulate energy for OHP and squat.

You know what's funny? "Live one day like an eagle, or a lifetime as a fly!" Manowar quote. You all get it. It's simple. But when you're enjoying a happy steady life it just doesn't sound right. So what if I'm a fly? - You might ask. Me? The longer I live and experience things in life, the more I understand this saying. Yes, it's obvious. Knowledge isn't the same as experience.

Overhead press - different variations

All around warmup with 2 kg dumbbells

Some presses with 6 kg dumbbells

16 kg kettle for 10 each arm

47 for 10 reps ez bar press

Final exercise:

31 kg dumbbell + 32 kg kettlebell press - 3 sets of 10

Each set getting easier and stricter, as I'm getting more used to it once again. I think I used to press so much. Well, today is medium-light. Accumulating. Monday I hope to do programmed OHPs. To be honest, I'm not yet sure what it's going to turn out to be.

Now for some

Squats

Did some bodyweight warmup during OHPs

Only sets of 10

20 - 50 - 70 - 70 - I think that was it. The garage was kinda cold, and I really didn't want to catch any kind of cold. Cause, you know, you often get that feeling of "something's a little off" before you fall ill. And sometimes it's really off, ha ha. I remember when I got pneumonia from running and breathing too hard in the cold. Not a good choice of actions that was, ha ha.

I feel like I gotta train the middle of my back, that's gonna help my squats. I think I also did something with my knee last wednesday. It was a pretty great workout, especially the last DL set. It was great. Powerful. I was hoping to make 230 kgs my 77,5% and overshot it, but the median weight ended up being 226, which is 77,5% of 291, and that's a nice "supermax" - for when you're sure you can do a heavy nice workout.

Back flys (not flies) and stretching the band in front of me - did around 2 sets of each.

That's about it for today. Hoping to enjoy watching the rest of Fargo season 2.
