Nice day. Almost no sleep at night. Took a long time drinking coffee.
Overhead press
Warmup
100*4
108*4
120*1 bad
120*1 better
Plan was 108 - 4 sets of 4, but I wanted to have more fun and prepare for heavier weights. Not sure if it worked correctly - I mean, it was easy enough for a weight above 90% of suuposed max, but I wanted to do more. Satisfied with my strength and shape, but not satisfied with my discipline. It fact, I'm really not satisfied with it.
And that was about it. I think I did something for arms later.
This video might be a little too funny. You can hear a track I jammed up before the session. Using the KVLT drums, not my own recording. Hopefully I'll be able to play rums soon enough.

Okay day. 6/10, maybe even 65/100. Which kind of makes it a good day, just not good enough for me to call it good. Curious phenomenon. I am grateful for my existence, despite my wormhood.
(Poor worms don't deserve to be denigrated like that, ha ha)
Wanted to DL. Energy = mediocre, not high, but I feel good. Decided to DL on wednesday.
Bench
Warmup
50*15
70*10
90*10
Then a dropset
100 - 90 - 70 - 50 - each weight for 10 reps. It was decently hard! I made sure to film it. Didn't listen to music. Doing my EP mixing today. All tracks were recorded really differently. Boosted the bass on the first track - I think it's a right decision. I had a strong low cut on ALL of the tracks. So when I compared it to another song that wasn't so "overproduced" I was amazed to realize that thet bass drum does not pump at all. Well, it was recorded differently as well. I only have to even out levels. Played with the bass comressor a lot. I need to learn to record bass more consistently. Manowar has dynamics in their songs, unlike so many other bands. Their waveforms don't look like rulers. They actually have quiet and loud parts. "Manowar" is of masculine genus, but it's a band of people, so rules are different for the third person. Uneven.
Pullups - more powerful this time
3 sets of 10 - feels good
Wrist curls, over and under, 6 kg dbs - 4 sets of 20 - feels great. I gotta do more exercises like that!
I guess I don't like brazilian robusta coffee. The previous bag had 20% of robusta, and it was okay. Now I realised I've been drinking pure dark roasted robusta. And I don't like the taste. And I have a feeling that the caffeine is not working. It is dark roasted, after all. And my brain is probably deflecting all caffeine. Makes sense.
I hope I can be smarter and wiser one day. Maybe I'm on the way there. I hope I am.
And better physcially in a way that really matters. Strength does matter, of course. I'm not disregarding it. And I think I've also developed a moderate amount of toughness all over my body.
What else? Oh yeah.
MAXIMALIST LOGIC - a young extreme lifter kid won't do light bicep curls. Cause they're cringe and they don't matter. But isn't it better to keep your weaker muscles in at least some sort of shape? Plus your arms will indeed look slightly better, even if you only lift light weights - as opposed to heavy weights. So, radical maximalism also means unexpected minimalism. Now I'm am seeing the flaws of that kind of approach, and how they creeped up in different areas of my life. Gotta do more things, even random things. In fact, I want want to do more random seemingly meanlingless things. But I do know the meaning of things - at least the ones that I do, even if I don't share it with anyone.
Drag curls, 6 kg dbs - 3 sets of 30 reps
Being a maximalist is just so harmful. You know, "only a sith deals in absolutes". Too bad I don't know a similar passage in the Bible, ha ha! Well, if I think I could find it in my memory.
Confused about mixing. Should I make the mix as loud as possible before mastering it, or is making it louder a part of the process? I guess I'll make it louder first, so it sort of reaches -3 db. Cause I mixed it rather quietly. Well, what's great is that there's almost no limiting once I make it louder - so the dynamics are preserved.
Well, I feel like I'm about to finish the mastering soon.

Some time later - I think I've done one song. Only three more to go. Should be faster from this point.
