I got my groove back today. Let's start from the start.
Fell asleep around 22:00 yesterday. Woke up around 2:30AM after that. Watched videos and shows. Did not play FO76. Had some rice and non-rotten chicken (I think). Gave a couple of lessons around midday. Had a handful of beans of coffee over less than three cups - very dense, but a small amount. Started falling asleep. Wanted to have a 20 minute nap, but changed my mind to a 2 hour long nap, then to a 4 hour long nap. Okay, good enough. Woke up around 19:00 or something. Didn't want to give up - even though I knew it was late. I didn't want to believe that it's going to affect my energy. Plus, I had some nice dreams. Can't remember them right now, but they were nice. Had a small amount of non-rotten chicken, and some rye bread with honey and peanut butter. Oh yeah, I had some goodies delivered to me today - a rather overpriced stopper for a second pedal on the double bass pedal, lifting chalk and 1000 grams of crunchy peanut butter.
Kept having coffee. Had two more handfuls. I felt like I needed to take my time digesting this coffee - else I definitely would have felt bad. Kept going at it.
When it was almost 9PM I decided that it's time. I didn't want to have a full body warmup. It would definitely have distracted and tired me. Did two sets of L-flys (not flies) with 2 kg dumbbells, and some back flys to get some more stretchiness.
Someone I care about asked me to do something somewhere. Went there. Got distracted for a long time - caffeine was getting me already. Took a very long... time in a certain room. Then I did what was needed and went back to the camp (or base, if you will).
Then I finally went to the garage.
Overhead press
20*10
50*10
70*5 easy
90*5
100 - 5 sets of 5 - nice and massively amped!
What also helped me is what I did between sets - I fethched the old boombox (can be very loud) and played some bass, and then one of the members of the faction joined me. You can also set up a drum beat on it, in different tempos as well!
Another important thing - today I listened to Manowar. It's been a long time! Such a long time. I've enjoyed listening to stoner and doom and my songs, but not all of them are quite helpful in getting me amped up with high gain. Pardon the jargon - I hope you can understand. (In this case, "to amp me up" - "to stimulate my CNS").
So yeah, there we go. The best session after a very long time. The best one since july, I think. I had a few decent ones, but never really good. What makes today good is the fact that I crawled out of a figurative hole.
Which makes me wonder - was all that in my head? Should have I been listening to Manowar more? (Most definitely).
Also I probably should have taken my time with coffee, 100%. And also i allowed mysef to sniff some ammonia today as well. I can already feel my pipes being rough.
And, while I was playing the bass, I've been cranking the truss rod. With with fingers and hex bar (strings are still on it), then with small pliers. Still can't adjust bridge height on it - I don't have those tiny hex bars. Which is why I'm watching a bass setup video now. Gotta find out exactly what I need.
I really still want to talk about some things that have been affecting my physical condition last month.
WAS IT ALL IN MY HEAD?
Not sure. Some of it definitely was. Most importantly, I should have been taking my time with coffee. You definitely can't workout right after having coffee if you have stomach and brain like mine.
And I ended up ordering takeout again. If I saved up all the money from takeout this summer I could have bough a REALLY expensive guitar. Like an expensive Schecter Omen - well, there are different models. And there's probably different prices in time and space. At least I sometimes share this food - that feels good. And I think I look foolishly generous and impulsive, and possibly like a glutton, ha ha.
Another thing - I decided to stop mucking about and release my EP, rather than my album. It's going to have at least 3 tracks, maybe 5. I'll get to remixing and mastering them all together soon. Shouldn't take too much time. I mostly just wanna make sure that bass and vocals are audible when I play the songs though different speakers. That way vocals will sound too loud in headphones though. Hmmm...
Another point of talking - my wrist. It's not perfect, but much better today. I reckon all the light work might have helped. And I took a wide grip on presses today. Silly me, for some reason I've been doing a really narrow grip for the last few weeks. I can't figure out why stuff like that happens. I used to press with a narrow grip ages ago. It's not helpful anymore. I was more flexible and much weaker. My press was uglier and utilized even more heaving (i.e. pushing the bar with my torso and hips).
I heard Schecter guitar have very good tuning stability. Maybe I should post pics of some of the guitars that I like a lot.
Like this, for example - Schecter Elite SBB. See-through blue burst. Or something else I like - Cort CR200-FBL. Or Epiphone Muse SG. They're all to explensive and I already have too many guitars. Buying anything like that would be luxury.
And random cool picture of the day - it is random, I clicked a lot

Could use parts of this pic for silly jokes, ha ha.
