Incentive to pay for isolation
14.08.2021
Relatively nice day. The bird's chirping, he ain't talking.
Dammit, I forgot that birds can talk.
---
I stand before my PC with a pot of coffee - only about 3 small cups, only about 3/4 of a fistful of beans. Pray for me so I don't enter into a... not very good condition.
---
Roughly 30 minutes later
Well, I'm not depressed, only a little bit antagonistic towards a lot of things I'm looking at. Not sure what to do today. I keep speculating that I might be out of energy so I don't want to lift heavy. Well, who would have energy after beating their CNS with the power of consciousness? I think I've no idea what I want to lift today. Bench, perhaps? I'd love to drum for a while.
---
Kinda want to get my workout over with. Well, I think I gotta keep in mind that I might have a maxout some time soon.
Another cool idea I came up with
So, I was watching this video with Dr. Austin Baraki and another slick-haired short powerlifter doctor, can't remember his name (it was his channel), and they suggested that you can lift and train and get actuals gainzz from lifting lighter when you're fatigued. I mean, it's kind of an obvious fact, but it never really meant anything for me, it's just important to know that your light sessions aren't in vain.
BUT when I'm doing a program I wanna uncheck all the sessions I'm supposed to do, like 80% of a max 5*5 - in my previous DL cycle literally all the sessions went okay except for the last one, and I didn't manage to max out. I was quite fit to the task in the last session - I think I was supposed to do 3 sets of 2 with 252 kgs and I managed two sets. I left feeling like I have enough strength but no endurance.
Anyway, here's the thing - what if I had three levels of "supposed max" and just went through my workouts in the program as if they were "max energy" workouts - so, let's say if I'm feeling "almost well" I'll mark my max as my actual max (260 instead of 280 - which I want) and just do the workout with the whole volume? Cause I've been cutting the volume a lot in some of my previous sessions and I think that might have contributed to the supposed lack of "power endurance". So, I was supposed to lift 82,5% for 4 sets of 3 reps - that would've had to be 231. So, considering I'm feeling "less than well" I could use my max as 260 and then my weight for the day would be 214.5 - much lighter!
I think that's what I'll do today. And I think I'm ready to drum and record something. I just get in the grooving mood. When you groove - you play drums just right.
I have to be disciplined about my coffee consumption. You're whipping the horse, you gotta lead it in the right direction. I've been whipping my brain too hard with caffeine, so it just made me feel bad, Fuck, I feel so much pity for myself. Now very good. I feel like I'm not getting any pity - people look at me and see a big dirty ugly dog that used to be a cute little puppy. No one gives a shit if the dog gets kicked around - he's just a dog, after all! In this land, there's a saying "Heals like a dog", and it does, doesn't it? So no wonder no one really gives a fuck. Pardon my french, ha ha.
My father used to compare me to all sorts of animals, including a rabid dog... Another old saying - "Seven miles is not a hook for a mad dog." - But that's a literal translation, of course.
Anyway, dirty fucking dog out, gotta go and deadlift.
Deadlift
Warmup
70 - 120 - 160 - 200 for 3
217,8 - 3 sets of 3 - nice and easy, drumming in between sets
On the first rep I accidentally forgot a 5 kg plate, so it was 212,8
230 for 2 very easy, but I breathed wrong and inhaled into my chest, so I quickly did + 1 rep, inhaling into my guts more. You know what I mean - flexing different muscles.
Bent over rows - 70 for 30 reps - nice pumping
That's an old school session - I ended up posing a little bit in front of the camera, deleting it and going on a rant talking to myself in the garage as I took almost an hour to unload the plates and do one set of BORs (bent over rows).
Back in my room - one arm curls a-la posing with a rubber band - you probably don't know what I mean, but it doesn't materr but it's just a fun isolation/warmup exercise. Two sets of 30 reps - left arm got some of that burn going on!
Seated curls, elbows on thighs, gripping kettlebell by the body
32 - 10 and 20 reps
Wanna do something else for my bloodflow all around. Maybe even something cardio-like.

Much later in the morning. Been playing FO76. Just standing, doing the good ol thing, playing, micromanaging not very important things.
