The Sixth Of February - Saturday

Nice day. Did a lot of drumming! Finished recording, basically. Mixed it all up very well in the Cakewalk. Mostly adjusted the fader. Made it simpler, made reverb simpler. I don't need a bus for reverb tail. Not for my songs anyway. Not right now, at least. I'd love to experiment more later. There are very simple addons to make a single mic drum track "bigger", I think most DAWs come with stock spatial/panner addons. Took me quite some time to record everything perfectly, especially once I started grooving and headbanging, striking silly poses. It was lovely, but it distracted me from judging my own perofrmance. Anyway, now I have it. I "augmented" many single hits with additional cymbal samples, and even augmented a couple fills in a nice manner (my own samples, just for clarity). I think I really want to buy a new crash, something a bit heavier and more sustained. The crash that I have has a slightly more "splashy" sound, especially if I hit it closer to the center. I also want to use my old hi-hats as a separate splash. You know, cheap cymbals can be quite underrated, I think (I obviously have massive experience, lol 😁 )
Anyway, I started drinking coffee while mixing, and it took me quite some time to get to the training session.
Deadlift
Warmup - not many reps
200*5
210 - 2 sets of 5
242,8 for 1 - nice and easy, smooth
Basically, I'm repeating my last "micro cycle", or, rather, a "step" in my program, but this time I calculate a bigger potential max. We'll see how it goes.
Recorded some of my vocals for the song in between deadlift sets. Isn't that a genious approach? 😁 It's not, just for clarity. But you do get to warmup your guts for the screaming, if that's what you wanna do. My current song doesn't have much screaming, so it was more of a fail. I kept going a bit dizzy and running out of breath.
Bench - was a bit out of energy at this point, to be honest
70*10
100*10 pretty awful, wide grip
100*10 medium grip - significantly better! Actually, I'm not sure if I did this set or jumped to the next weight with the changed grip. Weird, ha ha.
135 for 6 somewhat easy reps, but I had to stop, because I felt that I definitely wasn't going to get 10.
100 - 2 sets of 12 - nice and easy, but no pump, since the training session has been lasting roughly for more than two hours at this point. I don't think I should allow myself to indulge in long sessions. And me doing music in between sets, albeit quite inspiration, is definitely a form of a detriment to my workout and overall endurance for the day. It doesn't mean I'm gonna stop doing it, it just means that I'm going to be slightly more considerate, or at least I hope to be.
What else, what else... Something. I have to note - I really enjoy writing these blog posts. Doing this sort of dilutes my mood with pure unadulturated childish excitement. I especially look forward to posting a
RANDOM PICTURE OF THE DAY
