February 23 to 25 - The Story Continues

 23.02.2020

Well, I got a new cable, and I'm writing these words from a new PC. Immensely hyped!

That's about it for now. I'm installing Steam and all the other things.

 24.02.2020

Nice day. I downloaded Bannerlord and multiple other applications, including OBS (Open Broadcasting Software - an app that allows you to stream and record videos from the screen of your PC (Personal Computer)).

Deadlift

Warmup

190*5

200*5

205*5

210*5

270 got it to my knees - silly me

Drummed a bit - I've been sort of copying jazz drumming style, with the curious patterns on the ride, so I repositioned all of my cymbals, so, from right to left it's china - heavy 14 inch cymbal (top hi hat) - my cheap crashy ride - and my 14 inch super light cheap crash used as a top hi-hat, on top of the second heavy cymbal. I really like those chesp heavy Brahner cymbals as a ride - but I think I'll definitely have to use them sparingly. Drummed for quite a while and enjoyed it, slowly moving from light jazz drumming into nonsensical single pedal blastbeating. Also I made a kick drum muffler out of cardboard - it works nice, but only if it sticks to the drumhead very closely.

Today I woke up at 6 AM and couldn't fall asleep. And I trained way later at night. And I went to bed around 7 AM after that - after playing some Bannerlord, and then finally playing ESO. And I also installed Minecraft, and now I'm struggling to fix the crash issues. Funny that the least demanding game seems to be generating the hardest problem to fix. I'm downloading another GPU driver, hoping that it would fix the issue. Apparently there's a lot of sites that bait silly kids into installing driver updater apps by claiming that it's definitely the driver's fault.

And now, finally, to talk about GAEMS

I enjoyed Bannerlord. The graphics are astonishing. The gameplay feels a bit slow - I enjoyed doing the good old trading and killing looters, and I engaged a new feature - weapon smithing, the most exciting thing in Bannerlord so far for me. I shouldn't rush the game - it's not Prophecy Of Pendor. Then I played ESO, and copied all my old addons. Well, what can I say besides 100 FPS, BABY! Ha ha. Unbelieveable. After almost six years on yearning I finally have it... But I'm not as interesed in playing ESO in hardcore manner anymore! How funny is that? Well, i know I can be dragged back. Don't let me go to the Alik'r Desert again! Ha ha ha. Dueling is awfully addictive in ESO. Your brain keeps getting flushed with competitive and victorious hormones when you duel in ESO. But battlegrounds - well, that's mostly cortisol for me, ha ha. Perhps with a new PC it'll be much easier to play. I should consider playing on my newer account, and create another characters with a low MMR (Match making rating). That's called "seal clubbing" - when an expereienced but humble player like yours truly comes down to the level of beginner players and then he just clubs them, like canadians club seals.

Smooth transition to 25.02.2021

What else? I also installed Fallout 4 - waiting to check it out with smooth FPS. I last played it two years ago. I still can't believe I managed to make it run on my old laptop - it was quite and experience, but I mostly have positive memories, despite occasional massive lags. I've also been browsing through free editing software - I'm not ready to pay for a professional editor. I really wanna try uploading Minecraft shorts to my new youtube channel - I made sure to create multiple different emails in order to protect my new account, and have extra emails for potential main in the future. Oh, silly me, expecting so much. Well, I better not - but I still will hope. I've also been recording Bannerlord gameplay with my commentary - my voice isn't as great as I imagine it to be most of the time. I sound somewhat acceptable when i try to sing in my own specific style, and I just love that I'm actually capable of hitting very low notes with my "clean grunts", if you will - well, you can listen to me on Spire's Bandcamp page.

What else? Having a coffee right now. I've been enjoying larger cups - perhaps I'll switch to dirnking from smaller cups once again in spring, due to the climate change. Does that sound like something a sane person would say? I can just imagine a Mad Hatter saying something like this to Alice. Ha ha, ha.

I have an overhead session today. And then I hope to devote some time to working on another new song - I have a doom riff saved up. but I actually want to make something a bit more hot n' heavy, something I'd enjoy listening to in my garage. I came up with a proper algorithm to write songs -

1) Come up with the basics for lyrics and phrasing
2) General melody / riffs / keys
3) Rhythm section based on them - yoiu can start recording here
4) Bass
4) Guitar
5) Vocals
6) Mixing and mastering

Not sure if it's the best algorithm, but I'm gonna stick to it for now - because on my last two songs I came up with a riff first, and I think that makes writing vocals somewhat harder, and maybe a bit less consistent? I finished all of the instumental parts for worktitle "prayer_doom", and now I'm gonna struggle with writing and recording vocals. It's gonna be great. There's nothing like creative struggle. this new keyboard is taking some effort to get used to. No wonder that stenography typewriters are so small - much more comfortable. I also noticed that if you have to stretch your fingers extraordinarily while playing guitar then that somehow messes with your normal fretting - you start hitting notes in the wrong places. Same goes with playing a small guitar - that's why I abstain from touching it, even though it's so nice and quick and sounds enjoyable. Bass, thankfully, doesn't create issues like that.

Okay, so it's 9:10 PM and I think I want another cup of coffee. Ha ha, lol.

25 minutes later I got another cup. How did it take up minutes? Installing java - I remember having to dance around with it before. And a fresh PC isn't supposed to have Java, right?

I'm actually supposed to do sets of 8 in my current program today. So it's gonna be nice and easy. I need to concentrate on redeveloping shoulder flexibility for my pushpress. I've been getting a bit better at it, I think.

Overhead press

87*8

87*7 miscounted

Pushpress

100*8 poor technique

60 for a few reps

100*8 better technique! I had to do it with a light weight to get my CNS (Central Nervous System) right, oh silly me.

In between sets I practiced modes on the fretboard.

Later I did floor supported pullups - 3 sets of 10, and some bodyweight squats, as well as some stretching.

I think I fixed my Minecraft issue. by having to fix another one that the PC sellers gave me - they named the computer "ПРИВЕТ!!!" - "HI!!!" - and for the last couple of days I've been thinking of changing it; well I changed the name of the User itself, but not the documents folder - and to do that, I had to create another Admin account, change the name of the folder, and then I had to spend quite some time editing the registry, until I finally found the page where I changed the paths to the desktop - HKCU \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ User shell folders

Measured my BW in weightlifting shoes and winter training attire, it showed me that I'm 108 kgs. That means I'm very light right now. (Possibly less than 105 kgs - couldn'tbe bothered taking off my clothes in the cold, of course). That's what PC gaming does to you, I guess, ha ha.
