01 july 2020

Keeping myself laid back today. In fact, I started writing this post during a session. Time to do another set.
Yesterday was kind of tough, cns took some damage. Don't want this happening on a recovery day. Nor on a training day, frankly.

Wanted to do some super light squats, decided to limit myself to a slight amout of bodyweight squat, because my left hamstring is cramping hard.

Standing barbell press

Some warmup, some L-flies

80 kgs*4 - loved it, very easy
90*1
100 for 3 reps and a half - not my best ressult for reps, but i really enjoyed for multiple reasons. Taking a break from working out with nothing but a barbell bore a lot of fruit. Among them is the fact that my right elbow, wrist & forearm don't hurt during overhead press anymore. I didn't need an elbow wrap, and my pressing was really even, even strict somewhat. I loved it so much I just might post it right here.
then
50*10 tiny pump

One arm press
32 kg kettlebell *20 each arm
32*25 left - turning into side press☺
32*25 right - hard aerobics, hard to lockoout, probably because of a might tighter forearm

I want to do some more JM press, because I feel like it can give me a really good carryover to overhead press, since the elbows are in a very similar position at the start.

I got a mighty pimple on my left trap. I wish more people would accuse me of juicing, like in the old days, When you're making beginner gains you hear it all the time, really boosts your ego. I haven't worked out out in a normal gym for a very long time. I guess at some point people stop asking you because they assume it automatically. You look too big or something like that. (more like a fatass lol).
Well, guess what? I am an Angry Natty. There's few Angry Natties left in the community, mostly because it's not trendy, like it was in 2010. In 2012 a person that I used to admire even asked me whether I'm juicing or not. Most Angry Natties just calm down at some point. I did too, after about 5 years of lifting metal. Well, I'm not calm anymore, I got my enthusiasm back, and I dare declare
    - Death to false metal! Death to false prophets! Death to juice propaganda! ⚔️
There thoughts helped me get out of a depressing little hole today. Just a couple old memories & some apparitions screaming at you can put you in there. These so called apparitions are simply a continuation of bad memories - you remember someone telling you some bad things (don't really want to elaborate), and then you start imagining what else they'd say.
Ah, dang it, I ran out of time for my workout. Perhaps I'll still do some.

So I rushed downstairs with my tiny bench and did some
JM presses
50*20
50*15
I made sure to do them explosively (i.e. with nice acceleration, not rushing from the bottom) so I don't feel as musclebound. Once again, I have to note how much I love receiving so much muscle pump after years of not having any. For all those reasons, I feel like I'm living through a personal renaissaince, despite all those small bad things.
Now I want to play my bass. I was thinking of writing a little soundtrack for my workout today. It's gonna be a lot of fun. My guitar strings are supposed to arrive tomorrow, plus I bought a present for my mom's birthday. It's something that caught my own eye, so I guessed it should be a nice present. I was gifting and receiving very similar gifts in Elder Scrolls Online☺ Perhaps I should make more friends in ESO. Or support old ones. One of my friends is having trouble funding his trading guilds, so I thought of donating more gold to the guilds (did the same last week), but it was raining last night so my connecting was getting interrupted, could only do my daily crafting writs on one character.

Well, after making a jam track (3 hour song challenge lol) I decided to add some more footage to it to make it more action packed. I also added some anti-humor to it (I love anti-humor tbh). Now I'm gonna try to embed it with a code

It worked :D

I forgot to write about the track. I have to note, I've only been playing guitar since april, so no cringing. I wanted to write something really fast and kind of improvise in pentatonic scales, so that's what I did. I kept the default 120 bpm tempo in Musescore and wrote a lot of 16th notes for the picked bass (I prefer picked bass, after all, I love Manowar the most). I train my fingering too, since in most of the lessons the guys are fingering. Can't force myself to alternate fingers yet. Initially I only wanted to make a bass track, but couldn't help myself and added root notes for the guitar. Then I ended up improvising the rhythm, and also recording a quiet rhythm guitar track. Tried to do some equalizing, but I haven't got much experience yet. I think it turned out somewhat ok. Also, i used a lot of addons for my guitar tone, such as the MT-A and Boogex. I only recently discovered Boogex, it seems like there's a lot of potential in it. Out of all the amp simulators I have (free ones, obviously) I prefer the TH3 demo version that came with Cakewalk.
